Sticky Goo

How do you get the goo off after you remove a product sticker? I bought a new shiny stainless steel bowl with a sticker on the inside--right in the middle. I don't want to scratch or dull the surface, but the goo is just not coming off. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

There is a product called "goo gone" or something to that affect. It works great, it's not really expensive either!

There is some stuff at the store you can buy called goo gone. It works wonders. Gum, stickers, anything sticky.

Peanut butter will remove anything sticking to anything! I once used it to remove a poster from a wall-then I had to clean the wall from the peanut butter however it did not remove the wall. My daughter recently had the same problem you have with a dish and she did the peanut butter and yes it took the sticker right out. (leave it set for at least 15 minutes). Then she simply washed her dish. And it was one of those non-stick dishes you cannot use sharp thigs on. This is great and cheap!

There are products you can purchase that will work, but there are items you probably already have around your house that will do the job just as well. I use rubbing alcohol or vegetable oil. If neither of those work, you can also try a degreasing cleaner, baby oil, nail polish remover...Many options. Of course there's always the duct tape method. Just keep sticking the duct tape on the goo and pulling it off until the goo is all gone.

a bottle of goo gone. i used to use it when i worked in a video store, i'd make displays and signs to stick to the counters and when it was time to take them off, i'd have that sticky mess left behind. goo gone took care of it.

BEST METHOD: take flour, wet down the sticky residue, sprinkle dry flour and rub in well. Take wet/damp towel and rub off. No need for pam, oil or WD-40!

Goo Be Gone can be found many places and works great. It comes in a small bottle and is orange scented. I have also tried (and it worked) wd-40 and baby oil.

Good Morning K., Avon makes a product called Skin so soft. Not only will it soften your skin but it will remove the sticky also. Plus take of tar from car's, good mosquito repellent too. lol

I used to be a Avon rep. I was amazed at what the company said this product could do. I have the spray or pump oil.

Also I have had good results with just hot hot water soak with a tad bit of dish soap, use your thumb nail to remove it. Bed Bath & Beyond has a little plastic scraper I call it an Extra Thumb, you can use it on anything and it will not scratch the surface.

Good Luck Kathrine

WD 40 works for me if your husband has some it works to get the sticker off
