Sticker Residue on Shirt

This is a trick that I have tried for sticky spots, glue removal, etc. and it works MOST of the time on the first try. If not, then repeat the trick: Place a white towel/cloth under the affected spot. Then apply a cube of ice to the spot and allow to get cold. Next, soak the spot in some DAWN dish detergent for a few minutes. With some minor rubbing, the glue will be removed (which will remove the spot).

I have used Goo Gone on everything. I love it! My 5 yo is always putting stickers on his shirts. Just follow the directions on the bottle. It works great. Also goo for gum and tree sap. Sorry if this sounds like an ad, but I really use it for everything and swear by it...

Hi. Put your blouse in the freezer for 20 minutes and then you will be able to roll the sticker residue off, works like a charm!

Try De-Solv-it! It removes almost anything. I've used it on all kinds of sticky stuff. It also cleaned crayon off my kitchen wall. My two year old colored it from his height to the floor. I found my spray bottle at Wal-Mart, but I haven't seen it there lately.

I sometimes experience the sticky residue left behind on shirts from the sticker tags. I attack stickey with sticky...and it never fails. I use either a lint roller or packing tape (scotch tape usually isn't sticky enough) and it always works like a charm. Just press the tape against the sticky residue and lift...repeat as necessary.

I know that it sounds suspect, but if that doesn't work, go to Advance Auto Parts (probably *any* auto parts store, but Advance is everywhere, and I know that they have it) and look (or ask for) "3M Adhesive Remover" (I believe that the actual name has 2 other products in it, like "Adhesive, Wax and Tar" remover. It's in an 8 oz bronze and black tin in the auto-body section.

I've used it on sticker goo on a number of articles of sticker-covered-and-run-through-the-wash clothing for my boys, on both natural and synthetic, colored and white clothes. (Last time was a white and dark blue soccer jersey (like a rayon) that had a lot of sentimental value, as we'd gotten it in Rome.

The white was unstained, the blue was unbleached and the synthetic material was unmarred after a thorough soaking as I removed the stuff with a washcloth. I don't know about tar or wax, but the stuff just dissolves sticker adhesive away without harming the material. We now have a tin that lives in the laundry room full-time.

Try using GooGone. Saturate the spot, let it sit for a little while and rewash the shirt. It has a rather strong smell, but after it's dry the smell will be gone. It's a petrolium based product. What you are doing is adding the oil back into the sticky stuff so that is will wash out. GooGone works great on stuff like chocolate or spaghetti sauce, too. Hope this helps.

The very best product ever created to remove any kind of "sticky" stuff is Goo Gone. Its available at places like Walmart and Kmart in the automotive department or sometimes at the check-out line. It's in a clear bottle with black label and top. The liquid inside is golden colored. It will take care of your problem as well as things like gum in kids hair. Good luck!
