I accidentally thawed my stew meat instead of the hamburger meat I wanted. What can I make with stew meat besides stew?

What can I do next?

Stew beef need to be cooked a long time so it won't be tough. You could make soup or chili with it, or beef stroganoff in a slow cooker.

Brown it and throw it in the crock pot with a chopped up onion, a can of stewed tomatoes and some garlic and onion powder. Cook it on low for 6-8 hours It will be good served over noodles

You could go ahead and cook up the stew meat and then freeze it already cooked.....

I do that a lot, so I have things prepped for quick dinners......

We've done stir fry's with it .. but it can be a little tough so if you can tenderize it a bit in marinade first.

A friend of mine makes chili with it. Just substitutes the stew meat (cut up finely).

Beef tips and noodles, which to me is basically brown gravy type sauce with meet served over egg noodles. It's good though. Really good.

Chili?

Beef Stroganoff. Really really better when it's homemade.

As long a meat doesn't go bad it can be re-frozen. If you are not going to use it toss it back in the freezer.

You could grind it and make it into hamburger.

One of my favorite's for stew meat, cook in pressure pan, (so tender) , make a gravy with it and serve over rice.

Barbecoa! not barbecued beef, but barbecoa, or spicey Mexican beef. There are packets at the store to help you.
OR
Or you can do the same as a beef in the oven or crock pot with golden mushroom soup, white wine (or your favorite) a quarter to half cup and dry onion soup mix, perhaps a ilttle water in the crockpot or oven. Oh my I'm drooling.
