Star Wars Themed Party
I am looking for ideas for my son's 6th birthday. He wants it to be a Star Wars theme, but I want to do something other than just Star Wars paper products. I was hoping someone might know of a place/activity/person that could come to us and provide the party...kind of like those "mad science" companies that come to your party and do the activities, etc. Any ideas??
Thanks.

We did our own scavenger hunt with clues in yoda-speak. The kids had fun deciphering the clues. Each clue led to another clue. The party was in the summer so we had the booty be a bin full of water balloons.

Just adapt regular party games to a star wars theme. Instead of pin the tail on the donkey you could do pin Darth Vader to the death star. Fishing game could have characters from the movies floating in space (aka water). Bean bag toss, red light/green light all could be adapted easily. Craft project could be to make a droid mask. Cup cake decorating is time consuming and fun. Just use your imagination, your computer printer for any graphics you need, and clear shelf liner paper to make anything water proof.

Hi A.,
Google Star Wars Birthday parties. There are lots of information on line. We had a star wars party for my son when he turned 4 last year and we had it at a nature center, so I personalized my invitations using some of the suggestions that I found on line. Good luck. Boys and girls both had a good time.

We made light sabers out of pool noodles and let the boys battle Darth Vader--my husband in costume.
At the end every by got a trophy with "Jedi Warrior" on it.

Maybe take him to lazer tag, also look at Kohls, they have Starwars ornaments deep discounts.(make a great cake topper) Rent some costumes for adutls to dress up in, not to scare the kids. Do schrades around his fav Star Wars herors,

If you can get outside, you could make baking-soda rockets.

Hi A.,
My best friend had a Star Wars party for her son's birthday this fall, and she found the greatest invitations. This must be them, because I recognize the one she used:

She said the invites weren't too expensive. She also had inflatable light sabers for the kids to take home. And pin something on some galaxy. :)
Enjoy!
