I am sooo bummed!!! Just got my daughter the cutest little Mud Pie outfit- Washed it with like colors and got it out of the dryer tonight and the top is now stained up! It has random stains of blue and pink, and I have no clue where they came from-(washed it straight from the store, and I checked it thoroughly in the store- it was spot free-) it was washed in a load of whites- Anyone have any great remedies for stains that have come the wash somehow? I have all the spray stain removers, but didn't want to take any chances on ruining this outfit anymore. Help!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Suprise suprise!! They came out- Thanks mamas for the great advice. I didn't have any lemon juice on hand and had already exchanged this outfit once b/c of a tiny hole in the other- so I ended up using shout, and also using a color catcher in the wash and they came right out! whoo hoo- Can't believe I am this excited about getting out stains. . . man I need a life!

So it's white with blue and pink stains right? Spray some lemon water on it and then sun it. Best bleacher out there :D I cloth diaper and that is how we get out any stains from our diapers. I have recently got out blue pen from my only white shirt by sunning it all day and then washing it to get out the lemon juice.

I suggest that you return it to the store.if the outfit has blue and red or pink colors in it? The dye bled.

If not, then there has to have been something in the washer or dryer to stain it. There is a product that claims to remove dye stains. I've not used it but it would be worth a try. I think you can get it at a super market.

I would try to return it. In the future I recommend using Shout color catcher sheets in the wash, they work great. But I don't think they will help now because it has gone through the dryer.

I spilled vitamins on my son's shirt and then I put detergent on it to make sure the red (natural color, not a food dye) would not leave a stain...pretty dumb because the interaction bleached the shirt. The company told me this happens with suncreen too. Maybe there was something on the outfit? I would return it.
