Stain Removal - Haslet, TX

I have 9 children and even my oldest (22 & 19) tend to be careless with their clothing :0) I have had great success using the powdered form of OxiClean. I get mine at our local Wal-Mart Supercenter. If the shirt is white then try dampening it with a pre-wash spray like Shout or Spray n' Wash. Then sprinkle enough of the OxiClean over the stain to cover it. Let it sit for an hour maybe two before you try washing it. Check it before drying it as the dryer will set most stains. If it came out, great, if not, don't dry it. Instead try soaking it again maybe a bit longer, as long as the shirt itself didn't fade at all. If the shirt is colored or printed I would attempt to wash it again using the OxiClean in the wash cycle. If that doesn't work try filling a wash bucket with warm water and solution of your detergent (I love the new Lemon Verbena scented Tide & it's matching scented Downy fabric softener...heavenly!) and a goodly amount of the OxiClean. Let it soak for several hours but keep checking it as the OxiClean is an enzyme and I have had it fade the color right out of a garment before. I have also had great success using the spot soaking method I mentioned first but you have to be careful how long you let it soak directly on a colored garment because again it can take the color out if you let it sit on the garment too long. I know it sounds like a hassle but I have had to wash a garment 2 - 4 times before getting all of the stain out because I only let the stain soak for an hour or two at a time to insure that the color wasn't taken out as well as the stain.

Use some type of stain remover spray. SHOUT or DREFT have always worked the best for me. Wash it after letting it sit for at least a couple of hrs. THen CHECK IT before letting it dry--or putting it in the dryer. If it is still there, repeat til it's gone. It may take a few spray processes and washes--but hopefully you can save her new shirt! There is a company called Shaklee that has a stain removal product. my cousin says it is excellent. If you would like, I will be glad to find out the name of it.

On any grape or berry stain removal is pouring boiling hot water over it. It works every time even if the fabric has been heat dried. Good Luck!

Try milk. I know it gets grape juice out of carpet. Or hair spray, that gets ink out of fabric. I would also try doing a search for blackberry stain removal and you may get some ideas. Good luck!!

I never had much luck with oxyclean. But I love the shout in the blue bottle or detergent with enzymes. I put a bunch in the bathtub - presoak my clothes in the tub (and clean the tub at the same time).

J.: Try the plainest of plain bar soap. I use Ivory soap. It will get out ANY STAIN. I think the hardness of the soap works as a good scrubbing device to get the soap deep in the clothing fibers, then everythign just washes away! I learned this trick out of desparation when 'that time of the month' unexpectedly came while visiting relatives. It took all stains out of my clothes and Ive sworn by Ivory soap ever since.

I use Simple Green and I get it at Wal-Mart in the automotive section. It says to dilute it with water but I just use it full strength. I put it directly on to the clothes before I wash them and also sometimes after I wash them and then I re-wash them. It has always worked for me. Also, it is non-toxic so that makes it better to have in my house. Hope that you find a solution.

My dd left a purple crayon in her pocket one day and I washed and dried it with a whole load of laundry, including whites. I found this method below online and it removed it on almost everything.

I soaked everything with hot water in the washer and a half a bottle of Orange TKO for a good hour and then washed on hot with 1/2 cup of Oxy Clean, 1 cup of stain remover and a cup of regular detergent.

I use Wisk I put it on the spot and rub with a little water, sometimes I have to do it several time before it comes out. Most of the time this is all I do then I put it in the washer and let it soak for a bite, I also wash with wisk. I hope it works for you.

There is a product that Walmart carries. It is in a blue and white can in the automotive department. It is like 3 dollars a can. It is with the cleaning supplies. I think it says spot remover. It is an aerosol can. I have used it to clean up all kinds of things I never thought would come out. I got an old blood stain out of bedding that I didn't even know was there. For 3 bucks you can't beat it. It took grease out of the car carpet and multiple other things. It's worth a try. Whatever you do don't dry that shirt or the stain will be set in.

I am a mom to 5 kids and homeschool as well. I also distribute for Shaklee, a wellness company. One of the most effective stain removers I have used is a full strength dose of their Basic H. It is a highly concentrated kid and environmentally safe cleaner. I use one drop directly on the stain and put a little scrub brush with water to the stain. There are very few things that have not come out completely and even the ones that have not.....I can barely tell. I took this cleaner to melted crayons on my sidewalk...the smallest full strength amount, a little water and scrubber and presto...like it never happened. I always use dawn dishwashing detergent for all stains and have really great results. Even if you have washed the garment I would try it anyway sometimes it gets it out enough to wear again. Also for fresh stains baby wipes work well also.

You might give hairspray a try. I don't know for sure if it will work or not, but I do know it will remove ink stains. And way, way back didn't they use berries to make ink? I think I heard that somewhere, anyway - My grandmother told me a long time ago that ink would remove ink stains. So I tried it and sure enough, you may have to treat it more than once, but the ink will come out! The cheapest stuff works best. Just spray generously, rub a little and wash. If you need to repeat, do it before you dry the shirt. I hope this will help!

I swear by ERA detergent; wet it and leave it soaking overnight first, then wash with cold water. But I have heard that Oxyclean was better; just never tried it.

Oxyclean has always worked well for me. I use the powder form. Put 1/2 a scoop in a bowl of water and soak the shirt for an hour or so. Rub the fabric together where the stain is to try to loosen it up. Then launder as usual. Good luck!

have you tried hairspray? it gets ink out of silk and I have used it on other stains, just spray it on and hand clean it. Another way you can go is washing it in baby oil or Avon SSS bath oil I have had customers tell me it got blood out of clothes. good luck

OXI_CLEAN!!!! That stuff really works. I can get out any kind of organic (food or blood) stain using it. The powder kind works best, and I have had equal success using the cheaper brand at Walmart. Mix a strong concentration in a squirt bottle, and pour it on the stain. It will work almost immediately! Be careful when you are mixing it...it will build up pressure and will squirt when you open the bottle after mixing. Just wash as usual and you will be pleasantly surprised! Good Luck!

A friend recommended Totally Toddler Nursery Stain Remover for my "messy" baby that spits up everything. I had to throw away brand new clothing, also. You can purchase Totally Toddler in the Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory or Wal-Mart.

This may sound cheap but this stuff works!!!! It is called "Awesome" and you can only find it at a Dollar Store like GreenTree or Dollar General. I have cleaned a 100 year old persian rug with it. Along with shoes, counter tops, floors, cars, EVERYTHING!!! It is not a bad deal for $1. Great for removing those spilled wine stains......Let me know if you can't find it and I will send you a bottle on me.

Peroxide is a great stain remover, works on my carpet great and my nurse friends say they are taught to use it on blood stains as well. Hope this helps.

Try greased lightining..that works for me for pretty much anything. You can get it at Wal-Mart!

I have not tried a blackberry stain, but I know that Oxiclean took grape juice out of one of my children's shirts - it litereally disappeared before my eyes. I have used the spray and the powder and both are wonderful. I would recommend the powder and mix it up like it says and rub it directly on the stain like directed and then also put some in the wash and let it soak for quite a while. Good luck!
