Spring Break Travel

I am looking to take the family (2 adt/2 kids ) ages 10 and 13 for a ski trip in March. I am pretty open as to where - Colorado, Northeast, etc. Does anyone know or have property to rent out for a family of 4 that is not outragously expensive? I have been looking on craigslist and other websites but have not found a thing. It would be around March 11th - March 15th.

thanks!

What can I do next?

Look at vrbo.com, they list properties that are owned and people want to rent out, mostly condos. Sometimes the big chains-hyatt, starwood etc., will have good deals-like 2nd night 50% off, and some of the locations near ski areas have kitchens, which are so helpful with kids. I would recommend going to CO or Utah, the snow is better and there are many more resorts. The NE is very icy...

We just got back from Crested Butte last week and loved it, although we did not ski this time, but as we drove around we saw a sign about a vacation home. Check out www.peakcb.com there is a long list of rental vacation homes (small and large). You can also check out www.3riversresort.com they have cabins that are also an option. Have fun!

We just came home from Breckenridge CO - it was GREAT! We've also been to Breckenridge around Spring Break and the snow is great then! We stay at Beaver Run - it is a ski in/out condo with a tiny kitchen and we LOVE it! We have also went to Red River New Mexico and stayed in a condo (with kitchen) across the street from the slopes - Alpine Lodge - it was nice as well. Red River tends to be cheaper, but the snow in CO would be better during Spring Break time than NM. Good luck and have a great time!

I've used www.vrbo.com to find a rental before. You might want to try it. Since it's late for ski season there should be some good deals.
