Sports for 4 Year Olds

You can check with the YMCA on Cleveland Hts or the new one on Sleepy Hill Road. Sleepy Hill had a camp last year where the kids to try out a different sport every friday to see what they like. My grandson 4 then loved it. We are looking into some peewee football.

I hope you find something at the Y, they really love it.

I do know that most YMCA's usually have sports and/or activities for the younger kids. When I lived in Clearwater I had my son at age 3 in flag football and swimming lessons. It was great, he even got a trophey!! Not sure of anywhere else though, especially Lakeland since im not from that area. Is there a local recreation center over there?? Good luck!! ~ L.

there is a t-ball league for ages 4-7 here in lakeland. i already called and they said they are still trying to get enough people to start a team so they took my name and number and said they'd give me a call when they were ready to start registration. the webpage is

also, the ymca offers gymnastics classes for 4 year old boys and girls. you can give them a call and ask them about it.
