Spell Check
Apparently some don't have spell check. Honestly if I am on my work machine I don't either and I am too lazy to pull from Word. Well that and stray code drives me nuts. So
I know IE has it but IE is the devil, so if you have it on your computer make it go away. Both Firefox and Chrome have it as part of the browser. You enable it through internet options. Anything you misspell has a red dotted underline, right click on the word and it will give you a list of words it thinks you are going for. :)
How does everyone else do their spell check?
So What Happened?™
On my laptop you right click by pushing the right side of the touch pad. If that doesn't work google hot keys. I know there is a hot key but for the life of me I can't remember what it is.
I don't see it as a problem but someone posted somewhere that they didn't know how to use spell check here so I am trying to be a little helper. :)
Theresa I think that is auto fill. God that used to crack me up when my kids used that! :p
Tracy, tools, internet options.

Firefox!
But let's be real here.
This isn't a perfect world and the occasional misspelling on Mamapedia is not that big of a deal!
It's the blatant, obvious wrong words & spellings that slay me: ('post-pardum' for example) that really get me and cast the writer in a negative light.
ETA: IE IS the devil!

tehehe, my kids and my guy refuse to turn off the auto correct on their iphones, so I frequently get texts that say something like
If your blue is over, why not come three weird dogs?
Or
Sorry, I was busy eating my hand, did you want to jump pants money?
grrrrr

Im dont have spell check on my browser, unfortunately I am on my own. :(
And I certainly dont feel like taking the energy to write it in a word document to spell check.
Speaking of energy, I should be cleaning something. :)

My iPad has auto correction that can be a nuisance, because it selects random words for correction.

Hi J. - really? I do my spell-checking the old fashioned way, especially for a short document like this. I read what I write and then I edit any mistakes.

I use the spell checker in FireFox.
Your comment on IE made me laugh. I agree!

It's funny - my Firefox blocks Mamapedia at work. But Internet Explorer doesn't. Firefox will automatically spell check, IE wont. So unless I write something wrong, I let it go. If I write a long post, I will copy and paste into Word and spell check. I'm not a bad speller - just a bad typist.
