Specialist with Endometriosis

I have two daughters - one married 25 yr. old and one high school junior 17. Youngest has severe cramping 2-3 weeks of the month. Diagnosed with probable endo, and scheduled for laprascoptomy with Dr. Kathryn Waldrep. Older daughter has similar problems but Waldrep doesn't take her insurance. Bad experience with Umholtz, Moise, and Reigel (different issues). Thinking of Shimer. Any suggestions? Anyone been through this? My cramps were so bad growing up that I needed no pain medication when delivering any of my four kids. So hard when it's your babies suffering.

I have 3 children - 18, 13 and 2 1/2.
I was referred to Dr. Waldrep from my pediatrician however she didn't take my insurance. I am seeing Kelli Watkins and I love her! My oldest daughter is also now a patient as well.

Hi E.!

I have endometriosis as well. I live in Carrollton and went to see Dr. Julie Thomas at Trinity Medical Center. I also had a laproscopy done about 3 years ago by her. I am pain free to this day. I had a lot of scar tissue removed. I am not sure where you are located in Plano but if you are not too far maybe you can give her a call. Good Luck!

Dr. Anil Pinto at Baylor Dallas is a Reproductive Endocrinologist who is great. He also sees patients at Baylor Grapevine.

Dr. Douglas is a reproduction specialist. He just took care of my best friend's endo. She had one of the worst cases he has ever seen and she has recovered very well. I'm not sure what insurance he takes, but she adores him.

I hope this helps!

I just wanted to wish you the best! I am very sorry that you are experiencing such a hard time. N.

I have endo also which caused infertility. My dr. is Dr. David Fong in Plano. He specializes in infertility and high risk pregnancies.
He performed my lap and went on to deliver my daughter.
He has a very good rapport with his patients, as I know a few others.
I hope she finds a dr. that she likes and takes her insurance. I know how hard it can be to deal with this chronic and painful disease.
Please email me with any questions.

Luckily I have not had to deal with endometriosis, but I do know of an OB/GYN that is absolutely most wonderfully fabulous, Dr. Norwood. My co-worker pointed me in his direction when, in the middle of my first pregnancy, I became extremely ill and my current doc was doing nothing. Another co-worker went to him for pre-menopausal issues and fell in love as well. He was in Dallas' best Doctors magazine a few years back and a large portion of his clients are also doctors. The unfortunate thing is that his practice is at Baylor- downtown Dallas. But I promise you it is worth the drive. I now live in Aubrey and gladly make the over 1 hour commute. His practice is called Woman's Health Alliance.

Let me know if you need more info. I promise this doctor will take excellent care of your daughters!
