Hi I'm in of need some suggestions that would help make my soon to be 13 yr old boy fun and cool of course! We have a close friend who's b-day is 1 day before in which he will also be 13.So we thought of just taking them somewhere fun. But the problem with going to almost any amusement park in October is that they turn it into a Spooky theme for Halloween. My son already went to Knotts Scary Farm and does not want to go back till the Scary part is gone.So that means no theme parks. Any suggestions would really help. Thank you mamma's

C.: I don't know if you joined PTA but if you did you get a free buy one get one free ticket to Legoland. Ok they have some Halloween stuff but none of it is scary. Let me tell you this is a great amusement park with plenty of medium range rides that appeal to boys. They also have two areas for older kids where they can build lego race cars and all kinds of cool legostuff. I think its cool and fun.

How about something like Lazer Tag? Or Speed Zone where they can drive those gas powered mini racers. Or, if you're willing to drive a bit -- there is a place in Hollywood called iFly, where kids can go into one of those wind chambers to simulate sky diving. Hope those suggestions help!

How about something like Laser Tag, or one of those fun centers that has go carts and batting cages? Do you have a local sports team near you that you can take them to a game? (even minor league games are fun)

My son is only 1 though, so I don't really know what 13 year old boys do for fun...? Good luck!

Hello C.. I'm not sure what your son, nor the other boy, is interested in, but what about an indoor skate park? My son lives, breathes and sleeps skateboarding, and my brother took him to a really cool one (skate park)a few months back. It's supposedly a really good sized one, indoor, with a lot of ramps and half pipes, etc, for them to skate on. Again, not sure if either boy is interested in skateboarding, but my son had an awesome time there. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where it is exactly, because my brother took him, but I'm sure with some research (Google, etc.) that you would be able to find it, or one similar. We live in Bellflower and it wasn't too far, according to my brother. Good luck to you.

Disneyland is decorated for halloween but it is merry not scary. You get in free on your bday too. The only thing that is scray is the new space mountain ghost galaxy. So dont go on that. Otherwise its festive and fun and cute.

Just FYI, but the "scary" stuff at Knotts is not happening during the day. It is halloweenish, but they make it all-age appropriate and un-scary up to like 5 pm or something.

What about a sporting event?
