my sister was told on one it was a boy, then they were positive it was a girl in about three of them, so they finally paid to have the 3D one done and it was definently a boy. if you have the money get the 3D its cool anyways

Hi, J.,

I'm a prenatal yoga instructor and, over the last 3 years, I had 3 students to whom it happened- relatively to the number of students I get over that time frame, I would say that's a fairly low percentage, but, yes, it happens!

that is very interesting and I personally know someone that had that happen. The funny thing is when I was pregnant with my son I kept telling myself I was having a little girl and I ended up having a boy. Happy either way. My mom on the other hand was told via sonogram when she was pregnant with me that she was having a boy so her and my dad already had boy clothes, boy names, etc, but when she gave birth to me I came out a girl. Needless to say everyone was shocked including my parents.

It happened to my husbands cousin. They did 2 sonograms and both times were told girl, but now we have a handsome boy in the family.

My sister-in-law was told 3 times that she was having a girl. They had the colors all done for a girl, bought lots of girly outfits, etc. Then at the hospital when the baby was born...It was a BOY! She called my mom and told her to take back all the frilly girl clothes because she had a grandson not a granddaughter. It happens all the time. Although with mine, my son was very obvious he was a boy. My daughter on the other hand after 2 sonograms, we still did not know. She was very "bashful" but my hubby "knew" she was a girl. I would say either go with your gut instincts or buy non-gender specifics until you know for sure. With my daughter since we did not know, I bought one boy outfit and one girl outfit to bring her home from the hospital and then a very dear friend of mine bought her several girly outfits after she was born (the day she came home).

J., MY BEST FRIEND HAD A SONOGRAM DONE AT 7MTHS, AND WAS TOLD DHE WAS HAVING A BOY BUT A WEEK BEFORE SHE DELIVERED SHE KEPT HAVING DREAMS SHE WAS GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE GIRL. AND SHE HAD A LITTLE GIRL. SHE HAD CHOSE THE NAME ALEX SO HER LITTLE GIRL IS NOW NAMED ALEXIS. WHEN I HAD MY SONOGRAM THEY GOT IT RIGHT,I HAD A LITTLE GIRL AS THEY PREDICTED. SO REALLY LISTEN TO YOUR BODY,AND HAVE ANOTHER ONE DONE. GOOD LUCK,A.

I have known people this has happened to. In fact, they were pretty unsure with the sex of my first child (I had 3 sonograms to confirm). We went to Stork Vision in North Richland Hills - you can have a very personal sonogram and you can come back if they are unable to determine 100%. Check out their web site at http://storkvision.com/ They are very reasonable and we got a great keepsake — a 20 minute sonogram of our precious little girl!

I had a friend that that happend too but they didnt have a clear view as well as sonos have come a long way since then.
