Anyone have some good slow country songs I can put in a baby slide show? I'm making a DVD of my sons first year and I can't think of any country songs off the top of my head except Rodney Atkins I'll be watchin' you ad that's too fast for what I want to do. Any suggestions would be so great thanks!

Thank you soooo much for the suggestions! I'll definitely look at the Celine dion song! Kate- that is the perfect song, it's so funny I was thinking about that one last night but I blanked on who sings it and the lyrics lol. So thank you for that!

A little late, but 2 songs I used were "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed (not a country song, but there is a country cover at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq6XjN3sCiQ) and "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon (I think Celine Dion also did a version of this). Both beautiful songs that definitely bring tears to the eyes.

Have fun with the video!

Not sure if this is too fast, but I LOVE the Trace Adkins song, "You're Gonna Miss This."

Na Leo Pilimehana - You Don't Remember

You don't remember
I'll never forget
That blessed day when we first met
And I saw the face I always knew
The little smile
The little you

You don't remember
I'll never forget
One day in my life
I will never regret
To feel such love i never knew
All bundled up right there in you

As I held you near my heart
I understood at last
The part of me I never met
You don't remember
But I'll never forget

You don't remember
I'll never forget
That blessed day when we first met
And when I heard your voice
I realized the truth
Everything in my life
Lead me here to you

You don't remember
I'll never forget
One day in my life
I will never regret
A gift so precious
Giving me my angel love
Truly a miracle of God above

As I held you near my heart
I understood at last
The part of me I never met
You don't remember
But I'll never forget

And when I look into your eyes
I see the reason why
I've lived my life

As I held you near my heart
I understood at last
The part of me I never met
You don't remember
But I'll never forget

Ohhhh...
You don't remember
But I'll never forget
No...no...
You don't remember
But I'll never forget

I am not a country fan, but I know of a few that people have suggested to me in the past...
One is called "Let Them Be Little" by Billy Dean, it is the PERFECT SONG, I googled the lyrics for you.

I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand.
You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute.
How it amazes me you're changin' with every blink.
Faster than a flower blooms, they grow up all too soon.

So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give 'em hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

I never felt so much in one little tender touch.
I live for those kisses, your prayers an' your wishes.
An' now you're teachin' me how only a child can see.
Tonight, while we're on our knees, all I ask is:

Please, let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

The so innocent, precious soul:
You turn around, an' it's time to let them go.

So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give 'em praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let them sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.

Let them be little.

It is not a country one, but I love the Celine Dion song - "A New Day Has Begun" - she wrote it after struggling to get pregnant with her son (as I did) and it is really lovely. Good luck.

I agree with let them be little. I made a DVD of Kindergarten pictures for my daughter's class. All the mom's cried. My daughter is now 11 and watches the dvd and tears are in her eyes too. Here are the words:
I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand.
You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute.
How it amazes me you're changin' with every blink.
Faster than a flower blooms, they grow up all too soon.
