Help!!! My 2 year old got into the tub of vaseline and rubbed it all into his hair. Does anyone have any advice about getting it out? I tried washing it numerous times, but of course the water repelled right off of his head. He is a big grease ball :)

What can I do next?

I would say that you could try dish soap if you're very careful not to get it on his face. Dish soap is specifically designed to combat grease of all kinds. I would recommend the Dawn Direct Foam, it'll cut through the worst grease. Again, just be very careful not to get it on his face or in his eyes. One of my ex-BF's tried this when his daughter got into the vapo-rub when she was visiting him and it worked.

LOL! I read that rubbing cornstarch into the hair and washing with a clarifying shampoo should help, but it make take 2 washings. Be sure to use warm water. Lemon or lime juice should also break up the oil. A baking soda solution may also help. Otherwise, wiping the hair with rubbing alcohol and quickly washing it would be a last resort.

My niece was two years old when she decided to strip down to her undies and pour cooking oil all over her body and head. My sister-in-law gave her several baths in Dawn dish detergent and it worked. Good luck!!!

Wow! I can say that this is one trick none of my kids ever tried! Try typing "removing vaseline from hair" or something similar in your internet search bar. You may get some good ideas??
Good luck!!

LOL!! I so hope you took pictures before you tried washing his hair. You know, after you try Vera's spot on advice (cornstarch, clarifying shampoo, warm not cold water) and his hair is clean again this will be very, very funny.
