I have seen it listed in many responses.....Flylady. I have looked at the site but have many questions. Do you get daily emails telling you what to do? How does this program work? Do you like it? Im interested in anything that can help me keep up with the daily things around the house. Thanks moms!!
I recommend going to website but not signing up for the emails; I was getting 20+ a day. There were lots of good suggestions, work for 15 minutes in a room at time, clean in zones etc, but all the time I spent reading the e-mails I could have been cleaning!
I have been a member of the Flylady.net for several years. Yes, you do get alot of emails, but the beauty of it is, you have a delete button if it gets too overwhelming. Once you get into it, and have a rhythm of sorts about your cleaning and habits, the emails no longer seem overwhelming, they are welcomed. I would highly recommend Flylady as it encourages you to do what you need to do 15 minutes at a time. If you will actually follow along and do what she says, your life and home will be transformed! My house has never been cleaner, less cluttered, laundry is done and put away once a week, and I cook a nice healthy meal at least 6 nights a week. That used to seem very overwhelming to me. Now, it's fun. I would encourage you to sign up, read and do what you can, and stick with it. Don't get discouraged, just hang in there. Keep trucking along. You WILL see a difference in your home and in the attitude of everyone in the home. Good luck!
Yes, you get e-mails daily...actually, almost hourly, from what I recall, which remind you to get off-line and get busy! lol ;) I liked it, but I fell out of it when I had my daughter and never got back into it. :S But I did really like it and know that it can work. I love the little tips she gives for keeping the clutter to a minimum, and you can print out (or buy) the Fly Journal, which has every important piece of information you could dream of (including what gifts you'd like to receive :D...lol). AND...it gives you instructions on how to clean each room and when. It really is neat! (I should get back into this. lol) Have fun!

I am a total SHE - side tracked home executive - who never really learned how to keep things straight growing up. Darn ADD. I love the fact that you start small and snow ball, that the kids can do it too, and that it's never self depreciating. FLY stands for Finally Loving Yourself. Who could possibly not enjoy that?

Definetly go for it....did it years ago...and fell into the routine fairly easy...i have not done it since my daughter was born 3 years ago...kept thinking i would find something better...truth is there are other things out there but they cost...which is sad...part of what we all need is to budget and paying for someone to help you out over the internet is just really...well...doesnt make much sense...Yes they do email a bunch...however they will tell you to go at your own pace. ITs GREAT!!
The best thing I can remember from it, is to get rid of hot spots. Don't let the clutter build and put away quickly. Keep baskets so you can put stuff that needs to be put away upstairs, set it by the stairs and when you go up, it goes up. I found it a little too much for my home now, I do a better job of one day deep cleaning and then keeping the house the rest of the week, rather than breaking it down. I never met any of the women in my group. I even found them from a huge newspaper article written about the fly lady. Oh yes and don't forget to always get up and get dressed and you will be ready for anything that day :) M.

I really loved flylady.net and look forward to getting back into it! (Only stopped b/c I had knee surgery and am presently healing from subsequent complications). The instructions aren't "anal" and they are actually really gentle, encouraging, and easy to follow. I've always been that kind of person that would start 5 things at once and MAYBE finish 1 of them, and I did not grow up with an organized model to follow, so this was perfect for me. When signing up if you click yes for them to send you emails, they'll flood you with a million (or there's an option for just 1 a day of a million links) BUT I just click no to that. I don't have time in my day to go through a bunch of junk. I just printed out the things I was interested in, and check in on the website when I feel like it. I'd suggest clicking no to the email option.
Fly lady is a very caring, wonderful and resourceful lady.
She totally understands the frustrated mother.
You get tips/e-mails/support daily however I believe you can change your e-mail settings.
I would write more but my keyboard is not working right and my fingers are already tired :-})
