Soccer Team for a 3 Year Old
Does anyone know of a soccer team I could sign my 3 year old up for? I am just looking for something non competive so he can learn a little about the sport. THX

Try your local YMCA...they are in the middle of their season, so you may have to wait until August/Fall season. I'm waiting for the fall season myself:)

Hi Y.,
My 3 year old goes to Complete Soccer Academy. He loves it!! It is closed now but will open again when school starts! It is on Saturday's from 12-1. Here is a description from the site on the class:
Guardian and Me Ages 3-5
Children are introduced to the concepts of movement with the ball and control of the ball. Children are encouraged to want to play soccer through fun, instructional games led by a coach.
Children build confidence, develop motor skills and have lots of fun as they interact with parents and peers. Parents have a blast too!

Check out the YMCA. They have soccer starting at that age.

A word of caution-- as you are calling around to research a place, be sure to ask if they have trained/paid coaches. Some places charge you to sign your child up and then they ask one of the parents to volunteer to coach the team. May not seem like a big deal while he is 3, but if he sticks with it you may want someone who is acually trained in what they are doing instead of a mom or dad (or you!) just teaching him how to kick the ball around
