It's my turn to bring snacks for after my 3 year old's soccer game this weekend and since it will be Halloween a few days later I was trying to think of something that might cover both! The other mom's have been bringing pre-packaged snacks so I'm not sure if we are suppose to do that but for a great idea I'm willing to go either way and I could just email them to get their ok ahead of time! They have also been leaning to the healthier snacks so any ideas would be a great help! Thanks so much to everyone for always sending quick and great answers!!!

So What Happened?

Thanks for the ideas! I ended up making ghost from the nutter butter cookies - dipped in almond bark with black decorating gel for the eyes and then we had the individual cheese and stick crackers and gatorade! Seemed to go over well!

I know soccer snacks need to be easy, quick and handy, but convenience doesn’t mean you can’t sneak some better-for-you options into your soccer season. Here are 10 Incredibly Healthy Soccer Snacks!

I brought snacks last Saturday for my 8 yr. old boy's soccer game. I took Rice Krispie treats, which are light and somewhat healthy snack and juice boxes...maybe you could dress the Rice Krispies up with halloween colored m&ms or something on top.

Candied apples are Halloween/fall treat - but they could get messy as ppl are eating them on the way to their cars. Maybe sliced apples(healthy) and the little mini-caramel dips (again hard to eat as walking to a car or getting in a car).

If you're not wanting as healthy and this is their last game - you could get a small cookie cake at the grocery store with some kind of Halloween picture on it. We've done this before for my 10 yr old's b-day that landed on a soccer game day - we brought a cookie cake and the kids loved it after the game! Ofcourse don't forget napkins and a plastic knife to cut and serve the pieces of cookie!

Good Luck!

When my kids were pre-school through elementary school I was a Soccer Coach for indoor and outdoor. I also sat on the board of directors at one time as well as being over all the 8yr girls teams for a few years.

My experience would be diffently healthy snacks like grapes and such. Also consider taking some wipes because the kids tend to get sticky if you give snacks during half time.... which we did.

I would personally give every child a healthy snack and then maybe get some of those individual Halloween sacks and just put a few pieces of candy or better choice would be some "Trail Mix".

It was my turn to do snacks at my 4 year old daughters soccer game this past Sat. and to be in the "spirit" of the season I just bought some pumpkin shaped cellophane bags and put a juice box and a bag of fruit snacks and put them in a pumpkin and let the kids pick from that and they were very excited about it and I got several compliments from the parents on how cute it was! It's very simple, but they loved it!

Every time it's our turn to do snacks at soccer, girl scouts, or any activity, we always buy the individually packaged chiquita apple slices with carmel dips to give out and a 100% fruit juice drink or an electrolyte type drink when it's really hot (i.e., gatorade, powerade, etc.). They're not Halloween related, but they are healthy! I saw another team give each player a large zip lock bag with a banana, an individual size bag of cheetos and a juice drink. I thought that was a good snack idea as well. Good luck! :-)

What I have done for my 9yo son's hockey team is get them small bottles of gatorade, quaker chewy granola bars and fruit roll ups. Haven't done anything festive, but I might next week, now that I think about it. LOL
If you wanted to be in the Halloween spirit, you could put everything in a big festive bowl and throw in some of those plastic spider rings or plastic vampire teeth. They could pick out their snack as well as a scarey goody.
