Hi has anyone ever been a apart of this group that helps families for Christmas? I found it on Craig's List & I just want to make sure it is not a scam.

What can I do next?

Girls, Inc in Arlington has Angels who need presents this Christmas. I know they are a legit. group who help people in the community.

Salvation Army, Toys for Tots are some of the more popular ones. I saw on the news Toys for Tots at local stores yesterday.
Our local high school is gathering things for the kids in PreK this year. It teaches the older students about caring for others and it is helping us a lot. My oldest first year of school and our hardest year as a family. I cried when I heard they were doing this for her, because I had been trying to find a way to get stuff for the kids this year.
I know our church has and angel tree every year, I am not sure how the pick the children.

When I searched it in Google, it came up as the craigslist ad was deleted from DFW but you could still view the Austin one. I'd be leery of it. Toys for Tots, Angel Trees at the malls and Girls, Inc are all legit.

when I googled Snow Angel I did not pick up any information about it being a legitimate help program. The Salvation Army sponsors an Angel Tree program in area malls to find sponsors for some children to help at Christmas time. There are a lot of groups that try to help at the holidays, but I would check out any group that I wanted to support. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas C., how wonderful that you have a great & blessed life. I'm not familiar with the Snow Angel Program but there are sooo many families in need this time of year. 94.9 KLTY christian radio does a Christmas wish as well as several TV stations & other radio programs. There are the Angel trees everywhere that benefit several programs one being the Foster Parents. You can also check with local churches they usually know of families or groups that need help. In Wise County we have a group called W.A.R.M. Wise County Relief Mission that provides food as well as Utility assistance. I know there are mission & homeless shelters in lots of counties that would appreciate the help. God Bless you for you love & kindness. I hope you are happy with the choice you make.

I found this information online... it is not from this area but at least you know it is something that has been used before. According to what I found Dallas Snow Angel Program is new to the area and apparently they started it in Austin.
