SMOKE- Need Indoor Activity Ideas
With all this smoke in Reno I need help coming up with indoor activities for my 18 month old. I hate that we are stuck inside all day. Would love to hear what ideas you have. I am taking him to a indoor pool tomorrow, and maybe to go see that Kung-Fu Panda movie. I don't think he will sit thru more then 30 mins of it. But at least we won't be in the house. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am running out of ideas as we have been stuck in the house for the last 2 weekends. Thanks ladies

Hi S.,
I too live in the Reno area and I have a 19 month old. We take her to those Jump and play places, and we do indoor crafts. She likes to get dirty paintng on paper, and coloring. She has a 4 year old sister that also keeps her busy. Do you have any friends with kids her age? If you do, maybe you can get the kids together to play on the weekends. I just try to keep her busy with little things. If you are cleaning house, maybe he can help you. Maybe he can dust furniture, or help put clothes in the laundry. You may have to go back and do it over, but he will have fun helping mommy. Good Luck.

This smoke is horrible! I have been having the kids do lots of art projects. They finger paint with the water paints, and have made a ton of craft/ art projects. Check out family fun magazine...it's put out by Disney and has a ton of good and easy idea. They have a website too, just do an internet search. They have a recipe on there for homemade ice cream that all of my kids got a kick out of helping with, even my 21 mo old liked rolling the bag around. Good luck!

Hi S., I am one of the owners of an indoor play place in Reno that is great for little ones - The Playroom. A lot of parents have been bringing their kids in during these smoky times to keep their kids out of the smoke and having a great time. Our web site is www.ThePlayroomInfo.com if you'd like more info.
