Hi Moms,
I am 8 wks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I have never had such a "hard" hitting pregnancy as far as nausea and feeling so exhausted goes. I am breaking out like crazy. I know you are limited on the things you can use on your face while pregnant but was hoping you moms had some advice as to what I could try that may have worked for you. Thanks in advance. :)

What can I do next?

I have had troubles all my life, pregnant or not. The best product I found is Queen Helen mint scrub face wash. Can always find at Sally Beauty Supply.

It is hormonal so you really need to "treat" from within. My friends all use Reliv nutrition with doctor's blessing and approval - it will get you the nutrition even when you are nauseated, help immensely with energy, and help your skin! Happy to share more or connect you with friends!

Hello,

When I was pregnant with my now 17 and a half month old bay girl i broke out too and had awful all day sickness etc. With acne I just used a puff in the shower and put body wash on it, put my face under the hot water scrub fast and rinse with hot water. The acne that didn't go away with that i used marykay acne stuff. It's one small tube and you take a little bit and put it on the acne and it dries up almost over night. You are only using a tiny bit, enough to cover a pimple then leave it alone. The acne stuff from MK is not very expensive at all, less then 20 dollars and it last a long time. I have had mine for almost 3 yrs now and still have a lot left. Another thing after using the shower method, once out of the shower splash your face with cold water. The hot water makes your pores open up so you can clean them out and the cold water tightens them back up to keep dirt out.
Regular soap tends to tighten your pores more then body wash too. I just can't stand the feeling it makes my skin feel weird.
Hope this helps!Great names for your children. We have Andre' 13 yrs old and Sage 17 1/2 months.

Hi J., I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. I have been using this regamin since just prior to my pregnancy. I have had only a few blemishes since using this. My skin is sensitive, oily and acne prone.
In the am I use Cetaphil daily facial cleanser for normal to oily skin and follow with Olay moisturizer with spf 15 (been using this lotion for years)
In the pm I wash with Desert Essence Thoroughly clean face wash with organic tea tree oil and awaphui (very long name) and I moisturize with Cetaphil moisturizing lotion.

I really love the DE cleanser, but it dries my skin out too much so I use it only once a day. I buy it at either stop &shop or wholefoods. Drugstore.com also sells it.

Old lady here, sounds like you are carrying a boy.
We used to think that one had much more morning sickness and other aggravating complications when carrying sons.
Of course we thought that because it is true !!!
How about washing your face with a bar of Pine Tar soap?
You can find it in a health food store , many pharmacies, or Vermont Country Store ( dot com ) carries it.
Sounds horrible, yes? And the bar of soap itself has a very strong odor. It does NOT leave you smelling like the bar of soap ( a big plus here Lol) but it is the most wonderful product for many skin problems. Dry itchy winter skin, ecema (sp?) psoriasis, acne..ect ect ect.
It is inexpensive, lathers wonderfully, and leaves you smelling fresh and clean .
Most important, it is harmless. Never heard of anyone having allergy to it.
Worth a try, yes?
Best wishes and God bless

It sounds to me like you are having a boy. The male hormones are making your pregnancy very different then in the past. Be patient as your body adjusts.

I would also recommend looking into homeopathy. I was given a remedy when I was struggling with feeling terrible early in pregnancy and in one dose it was gone. Sepia was what I took but you need to find what is right for you.

My sister swears by using cooled green tea as an astringent/toner. I think my sister uses celestial blend. it has natural antibacterial properties to it. I used it today and it felt great.

Hi J., I wish you all the best and hope that all your issues will just disappear very soon. For your problem of breaking out, Shaklee has an all-natural product called Acne Clarifying Complex that is supposed to be very good. Since it is all natural, it doesn't contain any chemicals that might harm you and/or your baby. If you want to try it, feel free to go to my website and order it - I happen to be a Shaklee distributor. If you are near me (I live in Georgetown), I can include it in my next order and deliver it to you -- in fact, I have one on hand that you may buy. Please let me know if you are interested.
