Skin Care - Wickliffe,OH

Does anyone have any good products or advice for taking care of my face? I am constantly battling blocked pores on my chin and nose. Mostly whiteheads (not to sound gross) that are small and not too noticeable, but I can see them when I look up close. I am currently using a facial cleanser and moisturizers by Burt's Bees. I thought I'd try them out to see if they would help -- I figured they were more 'natural' and might lead to less clogging -- but I really haven't seen any changes. I was once told at a facial that this was caused by eating too much dairy, but I don't really eat that much dairy anymore. Any good ideas?

Wally World (Wal-Mart) has thier own brand (Equate) of the St Ives facial skin care line...get the MEDICATED Apricot Scrub! It is wonderful!!! even my bf uses it and LOVES IT! he notices before i do that we're running low! you can get the St Ives if you want but its all the same product for less $$$...OH! and any time you're looking for 'skin clearing' produts, always get the one that has Salacylic Acid in it....its the best, not the Benzyol Peroxide stuff, that stuff doesnt work!!

Good Luck!

I use Artistry Essentials Face Wash which helps control oil without drying out my face. A toner and lotion. My skin stays really clear with hardly any breakouts. I get it through Quixtar.com. So just email me at ____@____.com and I can get you some samples if you want to try it!

I use and apricot facial scrub (Freeman PH Beauty Juicy juice brand) and then I put Aveda's hydrating masque on but I do not wash it off. It is a clear gel and can be left on as a moisturizer. I have been doing this for years and always get compliments on how young my skin looks.

Burt's Bees does wonders for me -- their peppermint soap isn't necessarily facial soap, but it does the job and is very gentle. Love the stuff. Actually, I love most of their products.

Do you exfoliate? You can try just making a paste of baking soda and water. Put a little on your finger tips and gently rub all over your face (keep away from your eyes, of course). It's very inexpensive and baking soda is good for MANY different things. Rinse your face with water and your should feel silky soft after. B.soda is abbrasive and will help remove dead skin and clean your pores. You might want to use it every other day. Just play it by ear. Be sure to use a moisturizer afterwards that will not clog your pores. I hope that's helpful. :)

Yes - I do sell Mary Kay, but that is because it is the best product around. That is why it is the #1 Best Selling Skin Care Product in America for the past 8 or more years. I have been with Mary Kay for almost 8 years now.

In addition to a cleanser and an oil free moisturizer, you will want to add a mask. What mask would depend on your skin type. Using a mask will help draw out the dirt and oils that are trapped in the poors. This is not something you need to do daily - just twice a week. Once things are cleaning up, you can cut that down to once a week or so.

You may need to change your skin care products. Burt's Bees is all-natural, but that doesn't make it the right product to use on your face. It may be too oily or moisturizing. Try Aveno's line of skin care for oily/acne skin instead (the boxes are a light green color). A more expensive line that might help is Murad which is sold at Sephora. However, there is a clay mask that costs under $4 from Queen Helene - it is a tube of her mint face mask. I've been treating myself for years with this product (once per week), and I have had great results! Oh, anything with beta-hydroxide (also known as salicylic acid) would help. If you can't find a beta-hydroxide product that you can afford, alpha-hydroxies are almost as helpful, too.

I use Mary Kay timewise cleaner and moisturizer. It seems to work well for me.

I was having the same kind of problems on my face, neck, decolette. I was using Burt's Bees at the time, isn't that funny! And I always loved Burt's Bees. with was happening off and on for about 2 years and I tried eliminating products and not using anything, to see if I was having an allergic reaction. All to no avail, I was at my wits end.

At a meeting I ran into a lady who sells Shaklee products. They have a skin care line, Enfuselle, which I tried and love. Everything cleared up and has been fine ever since. And that was 1 1/2 years ago, so I'm very happy. I loved what it did for my skin so much I decided to add Shaklee products to my massage business. You can look at the products at http://www.shaklee.net/massageconnection/product/Advanced... and there's an Acne Clarifying Complex too.

What I really liked too, is that it's 100% money back guaranteed. So I was comfortable with spending the money and giving the products a chance. If I didn't think it helped or didn't like them, I could return the opened and used products for a full refund of the product.
Here's the product catalog link-

Also, I do try to reduce stress with exercise, yoga, things that can be incorporated with your age children - they love it, they think it's fun.

Also, doing a facial steam at home will help draw impurities out of your skin. The Village Herb Shop in Chagrin Falls can give you some great info on that.

Hope this helps. And have a wonderful weekend!
