Ski Lessons

Just moved to South Jordan from Virginia. I am a skier and looking forward to getting back on the slopes this year. I have a 4 year old and want to get her up on skis this season. Which ski area has good ski school for little ones?

I went with lessons at Brighton. She has had two lessons so far and loves it. She asks everyday if it is a school day or a ski day. They had her up on the chairlift the first day!

Deer Valley and Snow Basin both have awesome ski schools. It is a little more pricey than some, but well worth it!

Ok, I don't know if you have heard of Lifetime Fitness in South Jordan, but it's the BEST gym. They have deals with Snowbird and Canyons. But the BEST thing they have offered is a Mommy and Me Ski class and if you are a member is only 30 and it includes lift ticket for mom and kid and the instructor teaches you to teach your kids. I did it once with my 3 year old daughter and it was a BLAST! They need more interest to offer it again though, so if you are interested, call Lifetime and tell them you are interested! I'm going to make another post about it too.

My son enjoyed the Brighton ski school. Where in Va are you from. I'm from Arlington. Live in Riverton now.

Welcome to Utah.....My sons are 3yrs and 6yrs and love to ski Snowbird. The passes are priced just right and they offer great classes. My boys actually snowboard and love it there.
There are several other ski resorts to consider as well. All are great, but Snowbird is my favorite for the kids. Have fun in the powder!!

Hi R.,
My kids have had lessons at both Brighton, big cottonwood canyon, and Snowbird, little cottonwood canyon. Both are equally good but I think Brighton is the better deal.

Good Luck!
