Six Flags/alcohol?
Has anyone heard if Six Flags got the liquor license it recently requested?

I would hate to see it get passed. It will only create problems at a family park and cause people to get kicked out for being an obnoxious drunk. I can only imagine being stuck in line with some rude and annoying drunk with my kids by my side having to deal with what Six Flags has become.
I don't mind a drink or two every now and then but theres a time and place for it and 6 Flags is NOT the place.
Can you only imagine a drunk person getting on the Flashback or The Shockwave?? Ugghhhh....I can't even believe it's being considered!

Check channel 5 news - they ran a thing on the 10 pm news last night - they showed a 12 yr old who petitioned for signatures...anyhow - no they have not made a final decision yet - I think after open "debate" there could be a 2 week delay for the judges decision.

I just have to say I hope they get it passed. I moved to Texas from Ohio and the Six Flags in Ohio had Alcohol. No one acted crazy or out of control. It would be nice to be able to have a cold beer on a hot day. I do not believe having alcohol will not make it a family place like some say. Just my opinion.

I don't think they have it yet. There are still some debates going on about it.
Personally, if I could have a glass of wine or a beer while waiting on my 13 yr old to have an enjoyable day I would appreciate that.
This year, we drove a carload to Six Flags, got them all in safely on the season passes and then we headed out to a nice lunch, etc and came back to get them after a few hours.
That was done with ALL parental support, not just our decision. Of course all the girls had cell phones nad checked in regularly.
