My daughter is getting married in early October, at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, and we're looking for a nice, nearby place to have a reception for about 150 people. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

My nephew and his wife had their reception at the southfork hotel and they were happy with it.

Gleneagles Country Club. Yes, it is a private club and we have been members for about 15 yrs but they do host weddings and receptions for those who are not members.

We've had 3 parties there for our 14 yr old, all success and fun.

Great food, Great service and beautiful. They can refer DJ's and/or bands if you need them as well. Check them out early becauase they book up fast.

Location is just west of Preston on Park Blvd in Plano.

You have probably already checked into this but most churches have a fellowship hall that is perfect for receptions. you can decorate the hall and change the entire look of it with the right decorations if you are not fond of the look/colors... They usually only charge 100.00 or so or for the use of the hall with the ceramony there as well. It might be worth it.

if you need help with any favors/gifts/stationary let me know!
