Sit 'N Stand Review

I also have the Sit 'n Stand Double Delux from onestepahead.com and we absolutely love it. I boutht it when my son was born in September and my daughter was 21 months old. You can use it with the pumpkin seat and then as a standard double stroller. Then the back seat comes out and it's a sit 'n stand. It's so nice that it converts several different ways as the kids needs change. I think I paid around $169 and it was well worth it! Good luck.

My first child was jut over 2 when baby arrived. The Sit-n-Stand (Joovy Caboose) was NOT a good choice for us. He was too interested in moving about. He wanted to look forward if seated and jumped on and off if standing. Maybe it works well with an older child, but we didn't have any luck. I used it only 4-5 times before I sold it.

Yes I do have one, and it does work very well for my two boys (7 months and 2 years). We have been using it for the past 7 months and I am very thankful that we were able to get one and would recommend it to anyone with children close in age. We have the Sit n Stand from One Step Ahead. It was easy to assemble and fits almost every popular brand of infant carseat.

We had one when my 2nd daughter was born (the first was 17 mo old at the time). We really liked it. It think it was a Graco and it came with an infant car seat as well. It's just a little bulking, but worked great for going to the fair or outdoor festivals. We've taken it into the mall too. Best wishes and congrats on the new baby.

We bought the Sit n' Stand LX and I love it. My daughter (3 1/2 yrs) can get in and out easily and the carrier locks in well. It is lighter than other strollers. We took it for a test around Target's baby area when we bought it.

I LOVE mine!!! I just got it a couple of weeks ago (it was on sale at Big Lots for WAY cheaper than at retail store) and I haven't had one problem. It is soo much easier going out with my kids, which I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and a 1 1/2 yr old daughter. The only problem I have had so far is that my MIL took the kids for a week and it did not fit in her trunk. It fits in mine car fine, so don't know what the difference was, but just wanted to let you know.

I have the Joovy sit and stand and love it. The standing part, though, is better if the oldest child is atleast 2. The recommended age is 2 1/2. I have an almost 4 and just turned 2 year old. My 2 year old is ok in it...but a moves a little too much. My oldest was 2 1/2 when we got it and it was perfect. I loved it more than my regular double stroller. One step Ahead makes a very nice Sit and Stand, but it is a little bigger.

My sister has the joovy sit and stand stroller. Her kids are 2 years apart so it worked great. There is not much of a strap in the back but it was okay for my niece who was 2 at the time. The only problem is there is not as much storage under as other strollers. Best Wishes!!!

I have the Sit 'n Stand Double Delux from onestepahead.com. It's perfect. You can use it like a normal double stroller (2 reclining seats with 5 point harness, sunshades, foot rests, etc) and then convert it to a Sit 'n Stand design where the child in back can stand or sit facing backwards on the bench. It literally takes just 1 minute to do the conversion. I often change it several times a day when we're out all day, like at the state fair. My 1 year old is in front and the older 2 kids take turns on the back. Sometimes my 3 year old like to recline in the normal seat, other times she likes to stand and even my 6 year old will hop on the standing platform when he gets tired. It works with pretty much every infant carseat out there, too - just snaps in.

It's folds smaller than a typical double stroller and is lighter, too. There's a large basket underneath, tray for front child and a parent tray with a couple drink holders. We've had it for over a year and have used it ALOT. It still looks like new and is easy to manuever even with 80lbs of

Just FYI, they really don't recommend kids using the Sit n Stand feature until around age 3 becuase younger kid tend to hop on/off without warning. Many kids have been injured this way. That's why I got this stroller.... we used it mostly as a double sitting one until my middle child turned 3 a few months ago.

I've got one - a secondhand from Graco - and it works beautifully at places like the zoo or the park where there are paved roads. We love it! It's just slightly heavier than a normal stroller but doesn't take up too much more room. (Measure your trunk before you buy one)

One year old may be a bit young for it. The back seat/standing area really doesn't have the belting and safety you might be looking for, so unless you want to wrangle your active little guy while pushing at the same time, I'd say wait until he's a bit older.

The only problem we have with ours is that the 'baby' front part of it doesn't recline enough for my 1 year old to sleep. If you go buy one off the shelf, test to see how far back the front seat reclines.

I have a friend who has the Joovy Caboose Sit & Stand Double and loves it...so much so that I got the Joovy BIG Caboose Sit & Stand triple after my twins were born! (I also have 2, 4, & 6 year olds.) Definitely recommend it! =)

We absolutely love ours but our oldest is quite a bit older than yours. Your main concern is going to be your 18 month old. I think it's meant for a child who is a little older. It does not have a harness and it would be very easy for him/her to fall/get out.

Hey A., have you tryed craigslist.org? I saw the other day a sit and stand for sale.......even had a picture, I can't remember if it was the Anderson/Muncie or the Indianapolis are though. Try that. Take care and good luck.

I do not, but am also thinking of getting one, a triple one actually. When my second was born they did not recommend the sit and stand since my daughter was 11 months.

She will be 2yrs 3 months when number 3 arrives so I think she'll be ready for it.
My sister has the sit and stand and LOVES it, her daughter was 2 when her second was born. She does hate taking it on trips cos it's big and bulky but she says it is a lifesaver in airports when her 3 yo wouldn't dream of sitting in a stroller anymore but would sit in this one....

We bought the Right Start's Sit - N-Stand, and we are very pleased. It collapses very easily, moves smoothly, and the back area converts from a full fledged padded seat with back support to a bench with a pad to a stand area, so whatever the child prefers. Many we viewed were disappointing because the bench option was not padded once the seat was removed. Plus teh bag underneath is ample, and two cupholders on the top. Very nice.

I originally bought our Sit & Stand, I believe that it is a baby trend from Babies R Us, when my oldest was in a body cast and it was the only stroller that would accommodate her. After I purchased and used it for her, I then found a single one - go figure. However, when my 2nd daughter was born, we did use it for both. My oldest, being very big for her age, enjoyed the freedom of sitting or standing. However, I am not sure if she enjoyed sitting backwards all of the time.

I will be selling mine at a garage sale in the beginning of Sept. if you are interested. It does come with a bar for the car carrier. We don't need it anymore as we have bought a double jogging stroller that holds both girls up to 100#s. A much better fit for our family.

I loved mine and the kids did too. You do have to know your one year old. I knew my son wouldn't run away from me so I didn't worry that he wasn't "strapped in" i have had other parents say they didn't like it because the stander could excape

I LOVE my Joovy Sit n' Stand Utlralight Caboose. It seems no bigger than my Graco travel system and if you can afford the ultralight style (about $100 more) it is worth it... I toss it in and out of my van with ease!! My girls are 3 and 4 months. It was a bit hard to find and I ordered on line from babycatalog.com (I think..). Good luck!!

For whatever it's worth, the people at Babies R Us thought my oldest daughter, who was just over 2 when our second was born, was too young for the Sit N Stand so we opted for a Graco Duo.....

It was great for me as my son was a (big) 3 year old when I bought it, and too big for normal double stoller. It is not the easiest to manuever. (doesn't turn well, etc)

Hi A., I think I've tried every stroller out there except the Sit 'n Stand. I would recommend side by side double jogging strollers though. I love it!!! I have a Graco Duo Glider, and although an infant car seat does fit in it, it's just too awkward and bulky. However, the double joggers have great big wheels that make it easy to push everywhere. Plus, the seats can recline far enough for infants to be snug and cozy. My kids love the comfort of being right next to each other for entertainment too. Sorry I can't comment on the Sit 'n Stand, but my husband and I LOVE our side by side double jogger and would recommend it to anyone.

I have the Joovy Caboose Stand on Tandem stroller, and LOVE IT! It's a little large, but fits fine in my vehicle. It folds down very easily too. My son was almost 3 when my daughter was born and he's very tall (and active!) for his age. This was the only double stroller that would work. My third will arrive when my daughter is 18 months old, so I'll start putting her in the back to sit. I think she'll be perfectly fine back there at 18 months, because the strap (although no harness) is snug around them. My son still likes riding in it at four years old too, both sitting and standing.

Someone mentioned the back rider only being able to stand when the baby carrier was in the front. This wasn't the case for my stroller. My son sat just fine when my daughter was still in her carrier. He did like to stand, just so he could watch her though. :) Anyway, I LOVE my stroller, and couldn't imagine taking my kids out without it! It maneuvers well, and my daughter rides better in it than our single strollers.

I too bought an overstock at Big Lots about a year ago for my then 2 yo and newborn. With the infant car seat in the front, that seat had to be totally reclined which meant the rear rider could only stand. That was dreadful b/c at that age he did hop off and run! Now my daughter is older and can sit up so my son has both choices in the back. The model we have (a Fisher-Price, cost $100 at Big Lots) has a seat belt in the back if the rear rider sits so I can secure my son when there are times he can't hop off. It's been terrific, totally worth the money. Buying second hand seems like a good idea too since the time these are used is relatively short.

I bought a convertable dual/sit'n stand stroller from www.onestepahead.com . I bought it when our second daughter was born, two years after our first. This stroller moves more easily and smoothly than the single stroller we had! You have to access the basket underneath from the sides but it has snaps you can undo to make it easier. We haven't used the stand part too much but it's available when we need it and we also have the convenience of a tandem stroller!

I Love my sit 'n stand. i have used mine for 2 years now. it takes up a lot of room in my trunk of my SUV but it is worth the convience.
