Sit and Stand or a Jogger Stroller

I want to buy a stroller for my daughters and I am having a hard time choosing between the two! My girls are 1 and 2 the oldest is very independent. She loves to help me push her sister around so I think the sit and stand will be better, but after all the reviews I read about the jogger I think I would rather have that one. I don't really jog but both of them love to be outside and we go on walks all the time.

What can I do next?

Thank you everyone! I am going to try the sit and stand first then get a jogger if it doesnt work out.

Oh my gosh girl I am right there with you! I have a 2yr and a almost 1 yr old. I've had the sit and stand for a year and I love it! I take them to chiropractic appointments, or run in to a store that I don't want my 2 yr old running and touching everything. I take it to the grocery store, and carry 4 or 5 bags on my shoulder- for me it's more comfy than pushing the cart. Or sometimes it's a danger factor of getting lost- like the arts festival. Sometimes she can walk on her own, but some situations she's still not ready for, and I like having her strapped in. It's awesome for the zoo. She can walk for a while or stand while being pushed. This will last us several more years. Mine I bought from Walmart for like 130. I got the lightest one.

I think it depends on what you plan using it for...

I think most "double strollers" are a huge nuisance as far as trying to collapse, maneuver, and let's face it, after you put two kids in it, it's HEAVY.

Joggers aren't usually as easy to collapse and put into the back of your car, unless you don't want anything else in there. However their purpose is to really be USED, as in for jogging.

So if you're going to be pulling it in and out repeatedly, I'd go for the sit n stand type. Given, a toddler may not want to actually stand/sit on the back, so buy a used one.

I have both the sit and stand and the double jogging stroller. The sit and stand is great for going to stores because it is narrow. It is harder to push for long distances like at the zoo. The double jogger is a dream for walking or jogging, but is difficult to use in stores because it is too wide to fit through many door frames. We have gotten a ton of use out of both of our strollers. I highly recommend both.

If you decide to go with the Baby Trend Sit and Stand I have a used one for sale. It's in excellent condition, we barely used it. The oldest would rather walk so we used a single stroller most of the time.

Go with the jogger. I have a sit and stand that was given to me. It does the job but my older child doesn't like standing or sitting backwards. He wants to sit in the front. It's okay now that my younger child is big enough to sit in the back but it was a bit of a battle when she was too small for the back seat.

If I were buying one, I would get the Baby Jogger City Mini.

i would recommend a jogger. I received a sit 'n stand as a baby gift when my 2nd was born (they're 21 months apart) and ended up trading it in for a jogging stroller. The sit 'n stand was really bumpy and wobbly and my son would slip out of the back (the stand part) too easily. Good luck!

If you're still considering the sit n stand style, then make sure you consider Joovy. It's a little more expensive than the Baby Trend version you see in the store but worth it. It's not as big & bulky, not as heavy. Not that this is critical but you can also get it in several different colors.

joggers are huge and bulky. Use only if you are staying around the neighborhood and don't have to fold.

Sit and Stands are OK. The lightest is the Joovy Ultralight. Go with this one. We have it but it's still too heavy for every day. If you have wo kids and have to travel anywhere, go double umbrella. That is the only sane option, fits longest, and they are comfy, too. Maclaren are nice.
