Call Promethean Studios. They offer music lessons on a variety of instruments and voice lessons. They have 2 locations, one in Richardson and one in Plano. Call Mark Black at ###-###-####. My daughter has been going there for a year and has learned so much and grown musically.

I was told the same thing. They said 10 is the earliest you should consider voice lessons.

Lora Gauthier teaches voice lessons. I am not sure if she teaches students that young or not. Try ____@____.com
Another possibility is The Music Conservatory of Texas in Frisco (NW corner of Preston and Main). I know they teach students of that age. Best of luck to you and your little musician!

Most voice teachers will tell you that 7 is too young to start voice lessons. The voice is not fully developed and training can actually do harm. Alternatively, most of the music studios that offer voice lessons will NOT tell you that - obviously. I would try and locate independant teachers for their opinion, as well as a studio. You might try finding out if there are any youth choir groups in the area, too. That is the direction that was recommended to me when I was looking into it.

Good luck - S.
