Sing-Along CD
My husband and I would like to find a good sing along cd for our son. He is a little over a year old. There is a lot to choose from, so I wanted to see if anyone had any recomendations.
Thanks everyone, we checked on-line, and also looked at toys rus, and decided to get a few while at the store. We did notice that several had the same songs, so we tried to pick out some different ones. They are not too bad, and if they make my son happy, that is the most important thing.

Anything Veggie Tales does is great. It is the kind of children's music I can listen to over and over without going crazy.

Dear A.,
If you have or use iTunes look up Elizabeth Mitchell, she has a soothing voice and I lover her version of You Are My Sunshine. There's also Putumayo, try googleing it I can't remember their website. They have cool cultural music for kids and different music from different countries etc.
Also you can sign up to get books on MP3 from www.audible.com my daughter loves the Dr Seuss books, and this site is cheaper than iTunes for audio books, $2.95 compared to iTunes $9.95. For when your son is speaking more and a little bit older there is www.recessmoneytown.com a cool band for kids with awesome musi that won't drive mom n dad crazy. There is also www.jackhartmann.com he has educational music for kids like learning the 50 states song etc. And one of my fave kids bands is www.milkshakemusic.com/index.cfm
I also enjoy veggietales and Raffi. My daughter used to like the backyardigans music, she has never watched the show. They have fun songs and one called Please and Thank you that is fun to listen to and teaches manners. I just buy different music from iTunes and then make cds to play in the car, I make a variety so I dont get bored listening to the songs in the car.
Good Luck!

Hi A.,
I have one! :)
I am a children's musician and my CD "By The Sea" has some easy sing along songs as well as some that adults would enjoy.
You can hear some of my song clips online and even buy the CD online.
My web site is :www.bridgettemichaels.com
Let me know!

When my kids were little they loved the "Wee Sing" tape. I don't know if there is more than one version. But the one we had was cute, very catchy (Even I sang along!) Even now my girls, who are 7 and 5, ask for that tape once in awhile!

I would reccomend anything by Raffi. My daughter loves his cd's. We play them in the car and all sing together. It's a lot of fun, one of her favorite songs is Baby Balooga.

We love Veggie Tales and the Disney Greatest Hits cds. We like having both (I think we have 6 total, plus several other Disney soundtracks) so that we have a large variety so we won't get sick of them.
