Should I Buy Another Pregnancy Test or Just Wait?
I have never in my life missed a period or had a late period except for when I became pregnant with my daughter(3yrs old). Well, this month, no period! My husband and I faithfully use condoms. I am 8 days late and have taken 3 tests, all negative. I feel fine, and was cramping like normal last week but then nothing. I used Walgreens brand pregnancy tests. My question is this, do I spend the extra money and get another test like EPT or First Response or should I just wait it out until next month? Anyone been in this situation? I want to believe the test but my past experience tells me something else! What do you ladies think?

I was ten days late once and was negative. It was due to a really stressful week at a temp job years ago. The boss was horrible and I guess that is what did it.

Save your money.. In my experiance, when the test is negative, your not pregnant.. Unless of course you may have miscalculated when your period was due. Have you been under any stress? Sometimes that can cause your period to be late. If you are feeling fine, I would wait.. If you don't get your period in the next two weeks, then go buy another test, of course if you are really concerned, your doctor could do a blood test to give you a definate answer. Good Luck!

Typically, generic pregnancy tests work as well as name brand. Lately, I've even used Dollar Tree tests - which were accurate several months ago when I thought I might be pregnant and wasn't, and accurate this month when we found out that I am. :)
I wouldn't bother buying any other OTC tests. I would just go ahead and set up an appointment with your doctor. If your doc thinks you might be pregnant, they can do a blood test.
Good luck!

I would go see your doctor to get a blood work test done to see if you might be pregnant. I have tried alot of brands of pregnancy tests and they all came back negative for me and I just "knew" I was pregnant. I ended up going in to see my doctor to confirm even to myself that I wasnt crazy. I asked my doctor why the tests would always come back negative for me, and she had said that with some women they have a low hormone count for the first 3-4 months of pregnancy that it wont show up on a test unless its blood work. Maybe you are like me.

Just so you know, I know of several OB offices that use the same pregnancy test that I saw at a dollar store in Dunedin. :) Just because they're store brand tests doesn't mean they're any less accurate. I would personally make an OB appt, just so you can find out for sure... better to be safe than sorry!

You may also want to take into consideration the fact that last month was a short month. Maybe your period is on time, give it a few more days. In any case, call your OB/GYN.
