I would like to know which are the brands that your teens really like and consider "Cool". I need to buy Christmas gifts and I can not ask their mother what they'll like or want this year, but it is very important for me that they really really like their gifts.

THANK YOU!

What can I do next?

It is hard to say because they change each day so what i will advise you to do is try to spend some time with them and listen to their wishes for the holiday and also look at what they have on that may help.
Good luck.

Hi! Well I am 19 so I'm a teenager myself! :) My difference from the other teens is that I was pregnant at 17. But life is great. So one thing you want to look at is what kind of style these girls have. If they dress "preppy" aeropostale, Abercrombie, hollister, Agaci, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Claire's are great choices. As well as Journeys or Shi shoe stores. If they dress a little more "punk" or "skater" Hot Topic is a good choice. You can always go with a bath and body works gift card as well. There is always Starbucks that is popular with the teens as well. Be careful giving these kids money. I took the money I got when I was 15 and 16 to give the older kids to buy my cigarettes. If these teens have a side that the adults don't see, you could be putting money into the wrong persons hands. You never know.

For the boys! Guys seem to like Best Buy gift cards and if they're into video games GameStop. For clothes you can go with (according to their style) hot topic or abercrombie, hollister, pacsun, journeys, american eagle, Spencers etc.

Goooooood Luuuuuck!

I hate to shop for teens too, but another idea that always works for me is an iTunes card. They come in 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on. If they have an iPod, they may want to download some new music.

Hi M.,
Well it might sound impersonal but I would suggest a Visa/Master card gift card. They can spend it where they like when they like.

Our 16 year old is getting gift cards and iPod certificates. I usually hate giving out gift cards, but with her, if I try to buy a gift, I'll just end up taking it back so she can pick out what she wants.

Hi M.-

Well I know how picky teenagers can be =) my daughter likes Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, PacSun and places like that. I beieve that is where a lot of teens are shopping these days. They are a little pricey, but if that is what they will wear then its worth it to me.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays =)

I have like 6 cousins under the age of 18 that I buy gifts for(all teenagers) and I am only 24 but I don't even try to figure out what they think is cool. When I think of the kids now a days they all want expensive stuff that I am not willing to pay for like Iphones, Ipod, laptops so my husband and I just stick to money and cool card. If you are set on buying a gift the only thing I know the "preppy" kids like is abercrombie and fitch. I am sorry I couldn't help any more than that.

My daughter will be 13 in Dec. All of our family is a plane ticket away so she does not get to visit with them, etc. Same for me...I do not see my preteen nieces and nephews either. My family always tells me that their kids LOVE gift cards. I know my daughter loves them!!

She lived in Abercrombie and Fitch last year. This year she is branching out a little more and going to Hollister, American Eagle, Guess,Calvin Klein, PacSun, LOVES Coach products....handbags, wallet, cell phone lanyard, & Ipod holder. Juicy (cologne, bracelet w/ charms and sweat shirts) and Delia

She is also into manicures and pedicures(no fake nails), her hair and styling products, make up and skin care products.

Gift cards to these places are a hit. It is hard to buy clothes for teens. If you do buy clothes, make sure they get a gift receipt in case they want to exchange.

Hope that helps, I will add to this as I think of more
places she likes to shop.

I own a local company, Mind Your Own Beeswax - Candles, Soaps & Gifts. I'd be happy to send you a catalog or let you know which shows we'll be at. We can even personalize the products for them - their name and/or picture.
