I have been wanting to buy a Shark or H2O steam mop. I was just wondering if anyone has used either, and if you would recommend them?

I bought the bissel green steam mop annd I really like it. I have laminate wood, and travertine tile and it cleans both well. I do swiffer sweep before, but the mop cleans muddy paw prints like a charm. If the floor is really dirty I would suggest switching the pad half through, because it tends to streak otherwise.

I have the shark, it's not great on linoliam (sp) but does work well on tile. I do not have the carpet attachment so I don't know how that works. Good luck.

Our friends liked their steam mop so much we got one like them. It is called Homeworks Model 311. They said they got theirs at Walmart.com, but we couldn't find it anywhere, so we got ours off ebay and love it!!! We have a lot of tile and love the fact that we are not using any chemicals. We use a dry swiffer to sweep and then the steam mop.

I bought the Shark Steam mop and promptly returned it after one use. It left streaks all over my tile floor and it was really hard to push (and I'm no wimp!) I thought it would be a better way to clean my floors (less toxic since it just uses water) but it didn't really clean them much at all. Now I'm just back to a bucket and a mop and I use Ecover non-toxic cleaner.

I have the shark steam mop and I love it. I love that I don't have to use any chemicals. The only draw back is that it does not work as well on uneven surfaces. It doesn;t clean grout like I had hoped, but it works great on smoother sufaces.

I have been using the hoover floor mate for 6 years and I LOVE IT!! It vacuums, mops and then picks up and dries the floor.. I have used steam and mops and nothing get the floors cleaner than the floor mate!

I have the Shark & I love it. You can actually see the difference on the hardwood floors. Plus you can feel the difference on the floor you don't get the greasy film feeling from using chemicals..
