We are wanting to sell our house this spring (Kalamazoo) and I have a few questions. Does anyone know of some great realtors and does staging your home really work? Any feedback is welcome. Thank you.

Hi T. - My husband and I also live in Kalamazoo and I just wanted to pass on the name of our realtor. Her name is Judy Maida. She is a Jaqua Realtor and we love her to death. She has handled all of our house hunting, buying and selling needs and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor. You can email her at ____@____.com also recommends that you declutter your home. We got a storage unit while our home was up for sale and packed up and cleared out many things that we just didn't need on a reg basis. This also helped when we moved out because we had so much packed and ready to be moved. She also recommends using air freshners and maybe having a nice CD playing softly in the background.

Good luck with selling your home!

Staging your house does work. It sells the house ten times as fast. The purpose of staging is to allow the buyer to vision what the house would look like with them in it, and what they dream to accomplish with there house. This works great with starter houses too. Century 21 does a great job with houses, and if it doesnt sell sooner than later they buy your house for you.

Hi T.,
Yes staging your home really does help, first thing you should do is clear out the cludder and minimize your personal things(nicknacks,if you have alot of family photos,if you have pets just leave out there food dishes...).Put fresh coat of paint on the walls in a nutral pleasing color(not blande tho and not the same color in everyroom). If you have a fire place make it stand out.Clear off all off all your counter spaces in kitchen and bath just put some fresh flowers or pretty candles out.Your object is to make the house still look homey but you want it clean, orginized, simple to apeal to many different kinds of buyers.I hope this helps you out some good luck on selling your home.
