Seeking Yoga Moms
I am looking to open a yoga studio for children. Do you think this would go over well in our area? I have already taught some classes and they went quite well.

My daughter isn't quite old enough for that yet. However, I think it would be so fun to do a mommy and me yoga class when she's a little older. (She's 17 months) Good luck!

Im not sure. My Sister in law just moved here and she goes to an adult one off Slaughter road and she really enjoys it as she did it before moving here.
We have tumbleeze and I know some moms love it. I havent been yet. Id also thought about going to a preg yoga but havent checked w/ my Dr see if its ok.
There might be an interest in a Yoga and Mommie class.
Best of luck.

Sounds like alot of fun...I have a five yr old and a 15mo old..Have you thought of teaching mother/baby classes?? I think you would have a great response to those kind of classes. Keep us informed!

I agree with the others that a "mommy & me" class would be good for younger children, and then having a class for older children (that are old enough to follow instructions without mommy's help!).
I took a yoga class at UAH while I was pregnant. I enjoyed it, and am trying to get back into it, I just don't have the time to keep up with it on a regular basis. One problem for me is that I am currently the sole caregiver for my daughter while my husband is away. A mommy & me class would be great so that my daughter can just be with me! (If she will cooperate of course!). I saw a book online that was yoga for toddlers & preschoolers. Tried to find it in the stores, but they didn't have it. It claimed that yoga would help children feel better, sleep better, behave better, etc.
So, I don't know about other people in our area, but I like the idea!!
