Seeking Working Moms' Group in McKinney Area
Does anyone know of any clubs in the McKinney are that welcomes full time working parents? I have contacted a couple of local clubs, but they only meet during week days. I am a full time working parent of a precious 17 month old girl. She spends time with 2 other children at her daycare, but I would love to meet some other parents with children around her age for playdates on the weekend. This would also give my husband and I an opportunity to meet other parents with younger kids. As we waited until our late 30's to have kids, most of our friends either have teenage children, or no children.

I'm in the same boat...working mom, did this later in life- I have 2 boys ages 3 & 4 and live in McKinney too. The Stonebridge Ranch Ladies Assoc. might meet in the evenings- I'm not sure. Our neighborhood has Bunco and Book Club. If you like to cook, Market Street just had a huge write up in the Dallas Morning News about a Cooking Book Club. I'll look around, in the meantime keep me posted too!

I don't really know of a group but you can try meetup.com there are lots of mom groups some for stay at home and some for working moms. We are also interested in meeting with other people so our little girl will have someone to play with. We are in out 30's as well with our first she is almost 16months old. so let me know if you be interested in getting together.

I did the same thing, late 30's and I have a 14 month old son. I work part-time and a lot of the groups on Meet-up.com do things at night and on weekends for people such as yourself. I also know that Little Gym and places like that have Saturday classes and I have met a bunch of great girls and their families that way. Good-luck!

I'm very interested in what responses you get. I'm a full time working mom as well and I agree it would be great to get together with other families with children of similar age. My youngest turns 16 months tomorrow, and I turn 40! I also have a 13 year-old and 9 year-old, so I'm not only similar your friends, but to you as well!

I have found a lot of working mom playdates on www.dfwareamoms.com. They aren't just in McKinney, but there are a lot of moms from McKinney.
