I live in Sunrise but am not against traveling to say Coral Springs. But do not want to go into Miami-Dade or south of Davie. I have a 2.5 yr old and a 3 week old. I need an office that is going to give a darn about my time and my concerns and is going to be understanding and caring to the fact that their patients are children and do throw fits and do fight back. Also would be great if the office had separate sick/well areas and maybe a play area to keep a certain 2.5 yr old busy. There's only so much I can do :) Thank you!

What can I do next?

Why leave Sunrise when you don't have too? I have been using my pediatrician for my 2.5 year old and my 3 month old since they were born. He is very well known and not part of a group, so you get to see the same dr. every time. Very caring, family oriented doctor..been in business many years..they don't have seperate sick/well rooms, but they do not schedule sick and well appointments on the same days which I think is even better. He is one dr., so sometimes you wait a little, but if you care about the best for your kids and personal attention, he is your dr. Staff is very professional and the same since I've been going there.

I love my pediatrician. He is a sole practitioner, but i have never waited more than 10-20 minutes. He has two great nurses and their office staff is very helpful in person and on the phone. They do have separate sick/well rooms with plenty of toys and a video game in each. Very clean also. His office is in Coral Springs. Two of my girlfriends also go to him and love him! His name is Dr. James DeLeo, ###-###-####. Good luck.

I live in Pembroke Pines which is south of Davie, but my pediatrician belongs to Pediatric Associates which has several offices throughout South Florida. I love the pediatricians at my location, along with the separate sick/well areas, and friendly nurses. Also, they have a phone number to call 7 days per week until 7 pm at night that you can speak with a live nurse for a professional medical answers. My child has a chart number that I am able to use with any of their offices. When my office is closed at 5 pm, I am able to take my child to one of their urgent care offices that is open 7 days until 7 pm. I know they have an office near you...

I don't know if others have already suggested it but I love Pediatric Associates. I go to the Weston office but live in Sunrise. It is right off of Royal Palm (old Arvida Prkwy). Dr. Bullard is great. One half of the room is sick the other is well and the play area is on the "well" side. The have tv's in both areas of the lobby. I have never waited longer than 15min for a scheduled appt. They also do same day sick appts. The have two offices with later hours on weekend and even in hollywood and coral spring I think. ###-###-#### is the number to Weston. I can not speak for the Sunrise office I have never been. They also have a website www.pediatricassociates.com where once you are a patiant you can schedule your appts online. They also have an after hours nursing center that calls you back in the middle of the night if you have questions when you child and a fever and such. Good luck with your search. I was also recommended to this office by numerous co-workers.

Hi M.,

I am also a SAHM, I know of a pediatrician in Coral Springs but if you are not against traveling to Pembroke Pines I can recommend an excellent pediatric office. They are very loving and caring and will address any concerns that you may have. It has been about 7 years since I have gone to the Coral Springs one so for the Pembroke Pines office there are several doctors in the office and they have seperate waiting rooms for infants, toddlers and sick and well rooms as well. The name of the office is Children's Medical Center and their phone number is ###-###-####. They are excellent. Hope this helps.

M.,
Both my neighbor and I use Children's Medical Association in Plantation. I know they also have other offices. They are easy to reach and work you in usually the same day if you have a sick child. They also provide a sick and well area. The great thing is that there are 13 Dr.'s in the office so you can see as many as you like until you find the right one for you. Their number is ###-###-####. Good Luck with you new baby and other little one!
