Seeking to Work at Home

Good afternoon ladies! I have been working for 9 years at the same location and I love the people I work with but I think it's time for me to move on. I am never gonna advance at my present job. With my kids starting school soon I know this is going to be a problem. Being a single mother and with no help I have to be the one to drop off the kids at school, pick them up when they get sick, pick them up afterschool etc. I can already hear my employer. I have devoted myself to that place and they give me such a hard time when it comes to my children. I have been thinking about doing something at home. Any suggestions? I have heard some of my friends talking about how other people work from home and still are able to provide for their families. My children depend on me and that's really there reason why I haven't left my job yet. Please if any of you know anything, please let me know. Have a wonderful afternoon!

Leanna,
I have just read all of the prior posts and they all seem to be sales jobs. In this economy getting people to try new products is really hard. My daughter decided to listen to the consultant for Mary Kay and spent $600 on the samples and never sold a thing. Sales is a hard row to hoe, few of us are good at it, although the consultant that recruits you may be. My daughter's was. I would go to your community college and take one of those aptitude tests- cost is less than $25. If "sales person" is in your top 5, then go for it. Otherwise, I think you are courting financial disaster.
Benefits, like health care and vacation are not available for the work at home mom either plus the socialization that you get at work. I would really think this through and through before I jumped. You might want to sign on to do temp work selling first and see how it feels.
Personally, I wouldn't even think about it.

Hello L. please go to ratracerebellion.com they have legitimate work from home jobs. They have many catagories for you to choose from. I work for liveops which is on the list and I make between 1600-2000 per month not a heaping whole lot but it allows me to stay home with my 3boys. Some agents make 3000 a month. You are an independent contractor and can work when you want and how much you want to work. I love it and since being recently divorce it has saved me and my boys life. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions send me a message.

Hi L. -- I see that you have gotten some good responses already! I agree that you should go with your heart! :) There are many "work from home" opportunities out there. Check them all out and determine which one will work the best for you and your boys.

I just wanted to give you one more option. I am a Fashion Director with Jewels by Park Lane. I've been in direct sales for over 11 years now and have worked with 2 other direct sales companies. So, I've done some comparisons myself and I think you should definitely check us out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

There is no investment to get started. You can try us out for 30 days and if you don't like it, you can walk away. It's truly risk free. :)

As a Fashion Director with Jewels by Park Lane, you set your own hours and work as much or as little as you'd like. That, of course, determines your income. On average, you could expect to earn $1000 or more per month just working about 10 hours per week.

I work only about 15-20 hours per week (I have 2 small children that keep me very busy!) but I make between $3000 and $4000 per month. That's about $40-$50 an hour! Not bad, I'd say. :)

You can go to my website for more info or I can mail a packet to you. My website is: www.myparklane.com/jspera.
If you want a packet, just send me a pm with your info.

Best of luck to you! No matter what you decide to do, just make sure it's something you'll enjoy! Then, you'll never feel like you're "going to work" again.
