Seeking Suggestions on Teething Eleven Month Old
I have a baby boy who will be a year this month. He has been crabby for the past few days and all I can think of is that its his teeth. we have used teething gel, tyleonl and ibuprofin. Is there anyone else out there who has experienced their baby having so much pain durring teething? is this normal? my first was so easy, but he this one is so crabby. Do i need to take him to the doctor? could it be something else? He just started walking about three weeks ago and is also very bull legged, could this be causing him pain also? i'm willing to listen to anything, please help.
So What Happened?™
Thank you all so much for your words of advice. I bought some of those teething tablets and he has been sleeping through the night. Thank you all so very much..

I used teething tablets from Walmart, they are not a walmart brand though.
Also, my older brother was born bulllegged and he had lots of pain and had to see tons of doctors to get them broke and re aligned, not to scare you thogh.

I have to add my experiences with the teething tablets. I have twin boys. When we started using teething tablets, you would hardly guess they were teething when we used the teething tablets. We call them happy pills at our house. It could have been a really hard time for the boys and my ears. We tried the gel, but it didn't work for us.
Teething tablets get mixed reviews though. Some parents say they work like a dream, like with my boys. But other parents, say they don't help at all for their kids. I would say go ahead and try them, just in case. I just wish I had learned about them when my older kids were at a teething age. Life would have been so much easier back then.

I feel your pain. I was in a similar situation with both of my kids. I used teething tablets for them both. It really seemed to help with my second one. They are located in Wal-mart in the baby isle. Sometimes you can't find them with the baby stuff and clothes...lookin ght baby isle by the shampoo and things.
As far as your son being bull legged. The doctor told me that usually children grow out of it and if after they are 2-3 and it is still severe then they might do something about it. But at your next appt bring it up and see what they say

Teething tablets and Motrin did the trick for us. My poor baby (15 m/o) is cutting her molars. They are right there below the surface and I can just about see them... just pop through already!

Hello! I am a proud mama of a beautiful baby boy who by 9 months is working on his 8th tooth- so I feel for you! I've used most of the over the counter stuff like you mentioned, but I have a few tricks that have worked for me as well. 1st off frozen waffles- take them right out of the freezer and they can gum on them for a while & have a tasty treat at the same time. 2nd I got the 'fresh food feeders' from ____@____.com are little popsicle looking things you can put fruit(ex.) in. I put the fruit in the fridge and take out a few pieces to stuff in there when he's hurting. You may of already tried these- but I figured I'd offer a couple ideas! I haven't went through the walking phase with mine yet, but I could imagine that could be part of it too. Those little legs are getting a good workout these days! Best of luck!

Hi my name is H. and I am a mother of two kids both girls one is 11 months the other 5 years.
My daughter Jasmine is 11 months old and she has gotten 8 teeth already throu. She has had alot of pain in her teeth to, because all of her teeth were coming in at once. If this happens I think that it is alot eaiser to try to get them to cut there teeth in as fast as they can so it is less stressful for you and eaiser on the little one. You can find some kind of leather to chew on mabe a strap to something that you can pull off or is a good size to give to baby. You can use wet wash rags too.
