Seeking Sitter for LARGE Breed Dogs- Mastiffs in Holland/ Zeeland Area.
Having a terrible time finding sitter for family vacation. (I have checked the sitter city site to no avail) Would like to have someone come to the house to feed, let out dogs while away, however, dog size seems to be an issue. Dogs are over 200lbs each, as they are English Mastiffs. Don't let the size fool you they are teddy bears, they are my 2 year old's best friends. I don't want leave them at the vets, as our vets boarding kennels are better suited for small breeds. Anyone with advise- PLEASE let me know.

Following up on a good lead from another Mom, I'm checking into the Saugatuck Dog Barn. Thanks for the great tip. I can almost feel the sun on my face and the sand between my toes as that vacation draws near. ~D

Hi D.,
My sister recently graduated from Paragon School of Pet Grooming, but unfortunately she lives on the other side of the state and can't really get away from her job as a groomer for long. However, I've asked her if she keeps in touch with anyone from Paragon - alot of students are locals - so I will let you know what she comes back with. Otherwise maybe you could call Paragon and see if any students would be willing to sit for you.

Hi D. ~ we boarded our black lab at a place called the Dog Barn. It is in Saugatuck and is AWESOME! They have a very large area for play and activity along with big cages for the animals. Elvis is a 125+ lb black lab and he did great there. Good luck!

Try care.com it lists a number of pet sitters that will do just that. I am in Hudsonville and there were a lot in the area with background checks etc. Good luck!
