Seeking Safe, Clean, Quality Daycare/Childcare

I'm in the Leawood area. I've been in this area since October 2005 (almost a year now!) and need to find an in home daycare or facility childcare for my 2 year old and possibly 5 year old son. My 5 year old will attend Full Day at Mission Trail Starting 8/17/06.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I want to thank everyone that has responded to my request. I also want to say that this website is a great way to meet other mom's in the same situation that are willing to help. I met Shelly D. and we are good friends because of this website. THANK YOU MAMASOURCE. Shelly and I live in the same general area and our children will attend the same school and grade.

I have had my 5 year old at Blue Valley Montessori (135th & Nieman) since she was 3 1/2. We have loved every minute of the time there. She too will be starting Mission Trail for kindergarten in the fall! She is going to the full day program there. I will send my 17 month old to Blue Valley Montessori as soon as she is old enough.
What kind of work are you looking for? I used to be really active in the community when I worked full time and I still have a lot of contacts that could maybe be helpful. Take Care.

Creme de la Creme is a great place. A little pricey, but will go out of their way for to comply with your request for your children.

Hi Y.. My name is Stephanie. I have a three year old boy. Have you checked into CremedaCreme. They are in Leawood off of Roe and 118th I think. It is very nice Secure environment, rooms are monitored by cameras. They change classrooms and curriculum every 30 minutes. They have classes like Computer,Spanish Dance,Gym Waterpark, just to name a few. My son loved it there. People are very nice and helpful. They have smaller classes,so your child gets more attention. I have taken my son on tours of Kindercare, All Around Child, and La Petite/ I was not impressed by any of these. Definitely try a free day. If a daycare knows your interested, most will let you try a few hours to see what you think. If your child doesn't act interested in staying at pick up time this could be a good reflection on the center. Good Luck! S.
