I am looking for a good, chili's priced resturant in the downtown fort worth area. My husband and I are going out on a date and we would like to go somewhere that we have never been before. I've only just moved to the fort worth area so anything but a national chain would be good. Thanks!

We decided to cancel our date night last saturday because of IKE. But thanks so much for all of the suggestions! I know we will have a great time when we do go downtown!

My favorites are Mi Cocina in downtown, or Gloria's on 7th at Montgomery Plaza (west of downtown, behind the pi wei). I eat downtown almost weekly. When you are ready for a more expensive night out you need to go to Texas De Brazil, but sign up to get their emails and they will send you coupons! and don't forget to make reservations.

Cantina Larado is really good. They may be a little bit more pricy than Chili's, but its less than Reata. There is also Daddy Jack's (seafood). You could also search citypages.com to find something downtown.

Good morning how exciting date night. Well I live downtown Ft Worth and you have a few options, but for that price range you may be looking at a chain. We have Razzo's ,cajun style, resturant, Fox and Hound, sports bar type inviroment, Reata (? spelling) can be a little pricing, Billy Minors. And of course there are a few more but they can be more expensive. You can also google sun dance square ft worth or resturants down town ft worth. I hope you all have a wonderful evening.

It looks like you've gotten lots of advice, but I thought I'd throw out an idea! My husband and I just had a date night in Fort Worth and it was so much fun! We went to Joe T Garcia's for dinner (and sat outside) then drove over to the stockyards and walked around and shopped at all the little stores out there. As we were walking, we stumbled upon the LoveShack restaurant that has counter service (and they claim to have awesome burgers), but we just bought some beers and sat in their beer garden and listened to some live music. It was SO relaxing and fun. Have a great date!

There is a restaurant in Saginaw called Ginger Brown's that is really good. If you have a Ft Worth pass book, they have alot of restaurants in there and they have 2 for one coupons in there, so you can eat at half price. Have a great time!!

For Mexican food I love Mi Cocina. There is always a wait but well worth it. A little more casual is Uno's pizza. It is really good. This is a chain but P.F. Changs is so good and they have free valet. That would be perfect if you are staying downtown fro your date. We always use their valet, eat dinner there, then go out and come back for our car later.

(Joe T's is not in downtown but North down main st. The wait is ridiculous but the food and atmosphere are great. Reata is fabulous but expensive)

In case you decide to go out again...there is a new great Thai restraunt just north of downtown on Henderson. Not the greatest neighborhood...but omg..the food is the best and its also very pretty. It's called Thai Tina's. Reasonably priced and if you have never had it before, they could assist in getting something you should enjoy. Although I recommend the pineapple fried rice, pad thai, spring rolls and the chicken satay (skewers grill chicken).

Mamamias is one of the best Italian resturants in the metroplex. It is a local place located just North of downtown at Riverside and Belknap. It is wonderful and very reasonably priced food. My husband and I can usually eat for $35 of less and that includes an appetizer and wine with our meals.

Have fun!

My husband and I had a date night several weeks ago and we went to Billy Miners for dinner, had some cold beers and some great food, then we walked to Eight.0's to listen to their live band, then went to City Streets for a little dancing. We left about midnight and walked to Barnes and Noble and had coffee before we went home. Downtown Fort Worth is beautiful at night. The Palace theater is right there also, have dinner and see a movie.

If you want to spend the night, stay at the Worthington, have drinks in the bar and then brunch in their restaurant the next morning! Have a great time!

My favorite is Reata (http://www.reata.net/reata_ftworth.html)

Their dinner menu is a bit pricey, but the lunch menu is great- definitely competitive with Chili's- and the quality is excellent. Real chef-made cuisine, and excellent atmosphere and service. In our experience, it's not crowded for Saturday lunch. It's a Texas original!

Oooh! Date night! What's that? If you're talking center of downtown, Razoo's (cajun) is probably the closest to the price range you're looking for and would be ok for a date night. Mi Cocina is great, not too pricey but slightly more than a Chili's, it's a local chain, service is almost always excellent. Warning: Fox & Hound is a sports bar and a national chain - you would definitely want to avoid it on a Saturday afternoon/evening. There are a lot of college alumni groups that meet there during football season. If you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant near downtown our favorite is always La Familia on Foch St near 7th Street call for the exact address because it's not correct on any webpage I've found- there's a LOT of construction going on down there but you can't go wrong with flaming margaritas! If you're looking for some good Italian Nonna Tata on Magnolia is good too. And for Southwest Blue Mesa Grill is good, they're on University just south of I-30.

have you had UNOs pizza. I have heard they are ok priced and taste great.
If you want a hamburger joint Billy miners is a good experience also.
There is Razzoos there and actually a chili's.
Honestly, if you are going for date night. Do not go with one restaurant in mind be open. Walk around sundance square and see what you find. There are alot of places to go.
Have fun.

I recently went to La Familia this past weekend. If you like Mexican food, you'll like this place. Reasonably priced. Good food.
