Seeking Reasonably-priced Child's Haircut
My 5-year old daughter has very fine, thin hair. We've had frequent bad luck with haircuts; she's currently struggling to grow out an awful, layered mullet (Dad was not watching and is not allowed to take her anymore (:). In the meantime, she needs a trim, but I hate to pay children's chain salon prices (although if we knew we'd get a great stylist it'd be worth it). Can anyone recommend a stylist/salon (doesn't have to be a kids' place-she's very well-behaved) where she can finally get a GOOD haircut for $10-12 or less? I can't cut it myself and since she doesn't have a whole lot of hair, I can't see paying a lot of $. We're in S. Mpls., but anywhere reasonably close would be great. Thanks!

I pay $30 including tip at Cole's Salon for my daughter but she only get's a haircut twice a year or so because she has longer hair now but they do a AWESOME job.
My second choice is Kid's Hair I have gone to several locations and always specify when making the appointment if I can have the manager cut it. They do a really great job too. It's gonna cost you about 15 bucks but it's worth it.
My daughter has super fine hair too and the best haircut that works for her is a inverted bob stacked in the back it's easy to care for and has the appearance of being thicker than it really is. This hair cut does require frequent trims like every 6-8 weeks though.
I have tried cheap places like Fantastic Sam's or Great Clips and I've been extrememly disappointed with the quality of cuts.
I am a single mom financially challenged but when it comes to hair cuts I'm extrememly picky so I'd rather pay a little extra and maybe not go in as often but have a good cut.

Jess at Regis at Mall of America. 21$ but for a great cut that you don't need to have cut for 3 months. My daughter also has fine hair and I learned from my bad experiences that I would rather pay the price once instead of every 6 weeks.

I pay less than 10$ at great clips for boys of my boys...the ladies will let you stand right there the whole time and then they will put the cut into the computer when you've gotten 'just the right cut'...I get coupons in the mail and sometimes can get their hair cut for less than 7$...
to me I see no point in spending any more than 13.00 on a child's haircut....it isn't as though they are even learning to know what to do with their hair yet...
