My name is A. E. and I have a 14 month old that I would like to get involved with other kids his age. I live in Bradenton but would be willing to go to Sarasota as well for a playgroup.

What can I do next?

Hi A.!
My name is A., I have a 22 month old little girl and am currently pregnant expecting a boy anytime! We have been attending playgroup at Momms place at Manatee memorial since my daughter was 2 weeks old. It is only one day a week for 2 hours but as a stay at home mom it gives us both time to get out of the house and see other people! The moms are always planning activities outside of the group to keep things exiting too. We also live in Bradenton and are always looking to meet new moms and babies.

Manatee Memorial Hospital. Outpatient building. Every Thursday for Toddlers. Look up MOMMs Place online for more info.

Hi A.,

I have a 16 mo old son and also live in Bradenton the (the west side). We could meet at GT Bray for a playdate on a Saturday. I do work during the week, so a daytime thing would be tough for me, but Saurdays and Sundays would be great. Let me know if this would work for you.

Well, it would be long drive, but a friend of mine runs a great Mommy and Me class at Red Tiger Martial Arts on Clark Rd in Sarasota. They've stopped for the summer, but it's Friday mornings at 9:30. Most of the kids are between a year and two years, and you can bring the baby. It's five dollars per family. Check out their website: www.redtigerma.com

Also, the county libraries have great, free groups. I've gone to the downtown library in Sarasota, but I've heard good things about all the branches.
