Seeking Playdates for My 2 1/2 Yr Old

My daughter will be 2 the end of this month...we live in westmont...we are members at bfield zoo and active too!!! we just went camping this weekend, and my hubby went looking for firewood and long story short, he has given me my first case of poison ivy!!! but, i will do it again if he promises to bring his own firewood!!! my sister and 17mo old niece live in lockport, in willowwalk, so this arrangement could be convenient....my cell is ###-###-####, home ###-###-####...

I'm T. and I too have a 2 1/2 yo daughter named Autumn. She'll be 3 in November. I also have a son who will be 2 in September. I really enjoy getting together with other parents to facilitate friendships w/ the kids and with myself! I have a zoo membership and my hubby and I have talked about camping but haven't done so yet.

Where do you live? I belong to a small group of women in Aurora and we try to have a monthly playdate as well as a monthly moms night out dinner. I live in Aurora about 10 mins from fox valley mall.

What area are you in?

I have an 11 month old daughter and we live in Oswego....but, I don't think she would be a good playmate for your daughter! There's a couple of moms groups in our area. Meetup.com has some good moms groups in different areas that have lots of fun activities. I like the Far Western Suburban Moms Meetp Group.
Most of the moms have younger children...3 and under.

Also, Yahoo has a ton of moms groups....there's one called DuPage AP (Attachment Parenting), and I know they did a trip to Brookfield Zoo just recently.

I have 2 girls, ages 4.5 and 13months. We've been in a local playgroup now for over a year and absolutely love it :) The ladies are great, the kids have fun and they have an assortment of activities ;)

Hello - I am in Orland Park with a two year old boy and a three year old girl. I work full-time, but have a somewhat flexible schedule and do some work from home. We would love to get together with other children. We also spend a lot of time downtown and are at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Nature Museum and other fun places almost every weekend.

Let me know if you are coordinating a group from here to meet at a local playground or such and we will definitely try to make it.

Hi, J.. Maybe you'd be interested in the MOMS Club of Lockport. We meet at parks, the zoo, children's farms, museums, or little playdates at members' houses. Yesterday I took my son to just play in the sprinkler with a few other little ones. Our monthly meeting is actually at 10am this Tuesday, July 11th, at Dellwood Park. We'll be meeting in a pavillion area right when you turn in the main entrance off of State St(Rt.171). Give me a call ###-###-#### or just meet us there.
