Seeking Pediatrician Recommendation in King of Prussia Area

Hi ladies - We are on the search for a pediatrician in the KOP area. I grew up here and always went to a family practitioner, but feel that a pediatrician is the way to go. I have recommendations from my OB, but since she is affiliated with Bryn Mawr, they are all kind of in that area and I'm looking for something a little closer to home/work/day care for our baby. Any thoughts and comments, both good and bad, are appreciated!

Don't know if Paoli is close enough for you, but if so, we are very happy with Dr. Burton Langer. The practice is called Advocare and while Dr. Langer is our primary pediatrician for our 1 year old boy, the other doctors have been great too. I believe the practice also has an office in Plymouth Meeting but we always go to the Paoli office, in complex right by Paoli HospitPaoli Pointe Medical Building.
They also have great Doctor call availability and a nurse line that has helped us out a couple of times. Good Luck!

There are 2 docs, we see Dr. Field and she is awesome. She is very laid back and always seems to calm me down (first time mom worries!). She is slow to prescribe medications which I like. The nurses there are wonderful too and they usually keep their appointments on time.

I have several friends who go to King of Prussia Pediatrics on Allendale and like the practice.

You can always switch if you go to one at first and it doesn't work out. I started with another pediatrician in Wayne and hated it. Good luck!

Hi J.,
I take my daughter to Penn Care for Kids in Phoenixville beside the Phoenixville hospital. My daughter is 1 1/2 years and I have no complaints so far. I've only been to well checks, but a friend of mine with twins had a Christmas Eve crisis last year with both kids and ear infections and they opened up the office for her to come in. Whenever I have a question, I call and a nurse is on hand to answer the question. I've seen a couple doctors but have been sticking with the same one for the well checks because I like her. I hope this helps. p.s. They also have an office in Limerick. I guess that is too far out of your territory.

I know some of my friends use the Pediatrician in the Allendale Rd Medical Bldg. (KOP Pediatrics??). I personally use PMA Docs but they are in Norristown (The Mercy Suburban Annex). People usually give me a strange look when I tell them because they are in Norristown. Just because they're not on the Mainline, doesn't mean they are not good. I really like them and have only had good experiences with every doctor there. The only down side is that the well and sick patients have the same waiting room.

We have a family practictioner but she is great with our kids and her nurse is so friendly and keeps them very calm for shots. She is in the media area not far from Linvilla. Dr. Lynn Kasarda. My kids have been going to her since birth and I started seeing her right out of college. My husband became a patient of hers a couple years ago. She even lets you schedule both kids or myself and one of the kids with back to back appointments so we're not making dozens of separate trips. The nurse Tracy is great too, my kids love her. She is part of Crozer Keystone.

Hi,

I lived in the King of Prussia area when my son was born and although it is not right in King of Prussia I found a fabulous pediatrician in Paoli. It is only right down 202 and doesnt take much time at all to get to. They are Dr Kinzle and Dr Forman and their number is ###-###-####. They are located right next to Paoli hospital so it is very convenient when you need blood work done or any emergencie services. I would and have recomended them to everyone. My son is now 6 and he adores his doctors!
