I am currently seeking a pediatrician for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. I was taking her to UNM pediatrics but it seems like everytime we go she ends up seeing a different Dr. She needs the stability of seeing the same Dr everytime. She also prefers women drs something about male drs scares her. If anyone has any good suggestions please let me know. Thanks

What can I do next?

I used to work for Hareendra Kulasinghe at Albuquerque Pediatrics ####-###-####. He is the best Pediatrician hands down in Albuquerque! He has 4 partners. Dr. Grambort is a close second to him. Dr. K is foreign and has a heavy accent, but he is an infectious disease specialist and nothing gets past this man. Hope you choose to give them a try, you will not be dissapointed.

I was going to say Robert Martz, MD because he is the best of the best and he is located at the Lovelace Gibson office but since you daughter prefers a female, you might want to try Bonnie Kaslo, PA-C. Although she is an Certified Physicians Assistant and is not and MD, she is fabulous with kids and you will really like her. She is also located at the Lovelace Gibson office.

Good luck!

Hi L.,
I just took my 4 year old daughter to see Dr. Millea at Southwest Medical Associates. Dr. Millea is female and she was really great, took a lot of time with us and is very kid friendly. It was our first visit with her as we are new in town, but I really liked her and will be taking my 18 month old to see her in a couple weeks. Good luck in your search.

Hi L.,
I've been taking both my boys to Joseph Ramirez @ 2929 Coors NW since they were born. He's young (just had his first baby a year ago), and in my opinion: well trained. He's from Nebraska, and did training in Phoenix before moving here.

He takes his time with us, remembers everything about us and our kids, and really cares (my husband really likes him, too, and will take the boys to their MD appt's sometimes just to see the doc!).

He's (unfortunatly) a lot more busy now, since the other Pediatrician in his office left, but it seems he still really takes the time. His nurse is sweet, too. You'll need to call (probably months ahead) to get your inital visit; and I have to call 6 weeks ahead to get check-ups, but it's worth it, to me.

I am extremely picky when it comes to MD's (I want good care AND good "bedside manners." - Gasp!), and I think most people would agree with me about him. ###-###-####.

My daughter has been with Dr Monique Garcia at Presbyterian Northside since she was born (she will be 5yrs old soon). I think she is a wonderful pediatrician. All the staff there are friendly.
