Project Enlightenment in downtown Raleigh - Free resource center until your child is 5 years old. Nominal fee involved for parenting classes but everything is about positive discipline and they are incredible supporters!!!!

They have a variety at different times. Also, our preschool has brought their facilitators in to do classes for the parents while the kids are in school and they've been well received.

I really believe all you need is the book :Making your children mind without losing yours written by Dr. Kevin Leman he is a psychologist and best selling author of this book that gives you seven principles of reality discipline he is also the father of five he has been on the early show good morning america and focus on the family you can also hear some of his talks on this subject online at focus on the family hope you will at least give this a try and save yourself alot of money and time. you can purchase this book at any good bookstore

wow, I did not even know there are classes like that. I think you can find an answer to any questions (tantrums, discipline,trying new foods)right on this site :)

If you reside in Durham and pay durham taxes I would recommend Welcome Baby. They are on the web and they have fantastic programs.

I notice someone already mentioned Positive Parenting Solutions and provided you the web link. I have also recently taken this class and wanted to add my endorsment. I have read many books and tried different things, but this class really helps you understand WHY things are happening and give some very practical tools to help with targeted behaviors as well as building a better relationship with your children. I have seen great results. I can't recommend it strongly enough, and wish I'd taken it sooner!
