Seeking Outing Ideas for 19 Month Old

Huntington Library in San Marino. i'd skip the library and museum part. The gardens are fantastic. they now have a children's garden. If she likes water bring a change of clothes. My kids like the Japanese garden and the big lawns to just run around on. The Huntington is one of my very favorite places to go-period. Check online for free days. They are more crowded, but, the place is huge.

Amy's indoor play ground is great. They can run around indoors;)

The L.A. arboretum is next to the Santa Anita mall- much cheaper than huntington and you can see peacocks, ducks, turtles. Unlike the Huntington there's no specific children's garden (Huntington's has a great water feature), but there's still lots of places to run around and a waterfall that my daughter loves. Bring mosquito repellant and sunscreen.

Also in Arcadia on Baldwin and Duarte is Kids Island- this is an indoor playground- bring socks for you and baby- it's $8 for her. A nice option if it's too hot.

La Pintoresca Park in Pasadena has a splash pad. Free, starts at 11. Nice playground there too.

If you're going on Friday, Monrovia has a fun family street festival on Myrtle above the 210. There's a petting zoo and ponies there at the north end; my 2 year old loves that. Also a great toy store on Myrtle near the petting zoo.

Lacy Park in San Marino is gorgeous, has a nice playground for kids, costs $ on the weekend but free on weekdays.

my son was the same way!!!! we did everything free we could get our hands on. check out local festivals, etc. kids love it and you're outside!!! parks are always free. we hung out at garfield park in south pas a lot. also...check out the parent ed classes through pcc!!! my son went to a couple of them a week and really really enjoyed it and it gave me a chance to hang out with other moms!!! it's free!!! most cities have little festival things. arcadia is having a water festival next month. somehow i seem to run across these things!! online check out www.theorangecat.com (i think). it's a local newsletter that has stuff to do. just check papers and stuff for free stuff. oh, the science center is free. it gets crowded, but it can be fun for that age!!! good luck. let me know if you need more ideas. i come across stuff all the time and now i have a bunch to entertain so i have to come up with something!!! hehehe
