Seeking Organizations or Moms in Need of Free Yoga

I am a Christian Mom looking for individual Moms or organizations interested in FREE YOGA. In order to complete my certification through the Yoga Alliance and Yoga Fit, I have the opportunity and obligation to offer 8 hours of community service in the form of free yoga classes.
Please know that I already have 2 fitness centers that I teach other class formats for, so I am not SPAMing or looking for anything in return. I just need referrals to organizations or even indivudual Moms that don't have access to regular Yoga, so that I am truly doing a service to the community. I have checked with the Blue Valley Library, and I can use their space if available at no cost, so that would be an option. Please let me know if you have a Moms group or other organization or even individual Moms that I can coordinate or work with in small groups. I have a call into Safe Home, yet I have not heard back from them. I have tried a few local churches, but churches sort of think yoga is a religion and I haven't found them to be real open. I am very excited about sharing the gift of yoga and I so appreciate your help!

I would try the church that park side coffee house is in (Lenexa)-they have a big gym that is open to the public. Have you tried a community center? There are several mom's groups on meetup.com that I think you can contact the organizer even if you aren't a member and ask them if their group would be interested. Good luck!

Have you thought about doing kids yoga classes? I am sure several preschools would be interested if you were offering free classes to the kiddos.

Hi, my name is L. and I work PT with women recovering from prostitution, some mothers, some not. The name of the agency is Veronica's Voice and can be found on the web, I wondered if that agency may be one you would have interest in offering classes to?

You could try contacting the school districts to offer classes for the teachers. I am in Blue Valley School district and they offer classes for us but with a small fee and they seem to have a lot of interest. I (myself) would be interested in a few prenatal yoga classes and classes after I have my baby in 3 weeks. I live in the Shawnee area but work in Leawood.

Love yoga but find it so expensive so I would love participating.

Hi, I am in Gardner, KS...and would be willing to ask our preacher if you are interested...they are pretty open and might be willing to offer it to the church moms....don't know if there would be a place here in Gardner or if they would be interested in doing it at their church office even? Just an idea....maybe not a good one, maybe is! :)

Just holler ....
