I would like to talk to you. I'm 50 and I have a 12 year old daughter. I was looking for volunteer work for my daughter and myself and I was considering a retirement home for seniors, or a shelter. I'm a single mom.

Hi I am 46 and I have a 7 year old. I would love to talk to you. As far as volunteer work you can check volunteermatch.com, I think thats the correct site. Maybe you can also try the school or a nursing home near by. I drive but dont have a car until my husband gets home from work. I work one hour a day at my sons school on the kindergarten playground.

Have you thought about volunteering at your local church or community center?

There's also a website called meetup.com that has tons of 'groups' that you can search for. I belong to a mom's meetup and have made many friends not only for myself, but for my 4,13,&14 year olds!!

Good Luck~

Hello,
Just to let you know the website meetup.com has a ton of different groups you can join. I recently joined a mom's group in my area and we also do volunteer work. You should be able to find something in your area through that site.
Good luck!
