Ok i am getting extreme anxiety from all this. My current obgyn that delivered by son is changing alot of his ideals and I am not liking it. So i am on the lookout for another doctor. I am not real crazy about going to one of these womens centers where you have to meet a new doctor each time and there are like 10 of them. I just feel like information will get lost and no one will really know who I am or what is going on. I am much more comfortable with a single doctor or even a group of 2 or 3. Looking for the south tampa area or even near st. josephs. PLEASE HELP - any suggestions??

Are you pregnant? If so, I highly recommend the Labor of Luv birthing center. Excellent midwives.

I LOVE my OB/GYN group! There are only three of them: Montenegro, Prieto, and Raimer, and they are all wonderful. They're actually a high risk practice, so they're not only OBs, they're also all specialists in maternal-fetal medicine. I had twins last year (and I'm pregnant again with number three now), and they were just so supportive and knowledgeable. The support staff is also very good and prompt about responding to your calls, questions, etc. Please give them a call: Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Hello V.;

I used to see DR.Reimer, Saavedra, Amorosa, and Suarez, they have an office in Brandon, but I believe they have one in South Tampa too. I absolutely loved them, they delivered all three of my babies, one natural, and 2 c-sections, and I had absolutely no problem the whole time. Just a suggestion, I believe they are located close to St. Joe's, good luck, and take care.

Hi V.. Choosing an OBGYN is a serious decision in my opinion and one that you'll regret if you don't follow your gut instinct about the doctor. Although my doctor is part of a group I always see her and only her. Her name is Dr. Saravanos and she is with the Tampa Bay Women's Center in Carillon Park. I absolutely adore her, she's very nice, very thorough and makes me comfortable every time I go. Good luck!

I also recommend Dr. Helena Reichman. She is fabulous! And, you don't have to worry about who will be delivering your baby! I had a great delivery experience with her. She even marked my hospital paperwork with "Administer epidural upon admission" because she knew I wanted a pain free birth. I always tell everyone that she's the bomb! Her office is actually in St. Joseph's Women's Hospital and when you go in for the delivery she can monitor all your contractions right from her office. She is connected into the hospital system, so she knows when it's time to get down to business! I could really go on forever about how great she is!!!

Dr. Helena Reichman is fantastic! She's located in St. Joe's Women's center. I have never had to wait long for an appt. either. Both of my kids were born on holidays and she came into the hospital just after I was admitted for both. She's very straight forward with everything too (doesn't try to give you the bs lines).

I drove all the way from Palm Harbor to St. Joe's just to have her as my Dr. She's really great.

Good Luck
